April Challenge: Part 1
Phew what a busy weekend Ben and I had, amongst me coming down with a pretty horrid head cold, we started and finished digging out all the holes and a good part of our back yard needed for our new deck-to-be. I have really been enjoying this month as each day I have been doing something different as part of the April Challenge you can follow me here and here, but seeing as it is now half way through April I thought I should show you what I have been up to.

April Challenge: Part 1
Day #1. Ben and I visited the international cultural dance festival and tasted our way through all the flavours. We’re not to sure what flavor drink this is, Ben tastes watermelon, I taste pink musk lollies.
Day #2. Nothing is more inspiring that going through your old and new Little & Friday cookbooks.
Day #3. Rearrange and tidy up your bedroom. I wasn’t sure if I would like the new change, but we love it and it has stayed.
Day #4. Wake up a little earlier and go for a family walk before work. This is my favorite thing to so and sadly something that doesn’t always get to happen.
Day #5. Try a new recipe! This was my first attempt at Little & Friday‘s Brioche Dough and its so easy to make. You can see the results here and what I made with it here.
Day #6. Do two posts in one day. This was so fun to do, nothing is more delicious than homemade brioche dough and savoury brioche.
Day #7. Catch up with your amazing family over the most delicious Easter lunch ever!
Day #8. Go to an market in a area you have never been too, its a lot of fun and the perfect way to see a new area.
Day #9. Have a shopping day with your Mama. Ah what could be better than hanging out with your Mama and stopping for cake?
Day #10. Tackle the daunting task of cleaning out your mail box… this was a huge job for me, I get a lot of emails to newsletters, blogs and random things that I have subscribed to over the years. It is so refreshing ‘cleaning’ out and reorganizing your mail box.
Day #11. Turn off all the computers and have a “date night” with your hubby and mad men. Really what could be a better way to spend a night in?
Day #12. Make chicken stock from scratch, this was my very first time at making this it’s so easy and ridiculously good for you! Although I really need a bigger pot…
Day #13. When your parents in law buy a coffee machine, you head straight over and try your hand at some home made coffee.
Day #14. Marking out lots of pink lines for our new deck! We then spent the rest of the weekend digging holes… our arms are so sore!
#15. Try your hand at stand up paddle boarding. We have wanted to try this for so long, it’s so much easier than you think and a tone of fun! Kora was even brave enough to stand on it with me while I paddled up and down the beach.
I hope this inspires you to try something different every day, remember it doesn’t have to be big, just different. x
