Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had a lovely weekend – how incredible is the weather at the moment, you wouldn’t believe that it’s almost winter with how warm it is! Something very exciting happened in our home over the weekend, after three years of trying to decide on a couch to get we finally found our dream one from Freedom – and it’s perfect!! So now I’m on a little mission to decorate our lovely new lounge room with gorgeous cushions, throws and of course a little humour – how incredibly gorgeous is the dinosaur bookend! We absolutely adore simple white and grey tonnes as a base for everything – but of course I love injecting shocking bursts of colour into the mix, I can’t wait to wander around Sydney this week and pick up a few new goodies for our lounge. x

Oh, I think it’s every woman’s dream to have a beautiful styled closet – the colours, patterns and of course the space is just to die for! Adore Home Magazine had the absolute honour of being invited into Megan Hess’s beautiful home and talk to her about her incredible style, tips for styling your own closet and of course her beautiful fashion illustrations – you can read the full interview here on page 40. After reading this lovely interview I had a quick peek at our wardrobe and decided on a simple change to start with – I swapped all of our old mis-matched cloths hangers to beautiful new wooden ones, it completely transformed our wardrobe into something organised and elegant. I’d love to hear about how you style your closet, be it with a beautiful piece of art, delicious candle or simply showing off your favourite pair of shoes – it’s often the simplest details that have the most impact. x

Happy Friday everyone, goodness is anyone else finding that this year is flying by! I do love that the seasons are starting to change a little, there really is something so wonderful about staying inside a little during the cooler months. Especially if your home is filled with these cozy autumn goodies – is anyone else a little in love with the mint and glitter deer head, it’s incredible!!! I really couldn’t think of anything more wonderful than pottering in the kitchen and baking some delicious autumn pies before curling up with the gorgeous new issue of Hitched – it sounds like heaven to me! I hope you all have a wonderfully relaxing weekend, and again thank you all so much for your support and for entering the 5000 Facebook likes giveaway, you are all beyond amazing! x

One of the wonderful curses of owning you’re own home is that you’re able to style it however you wish – as liberating as that is, it can very very quickly turn into a very expensive little project! I’ve been a huge fan of Nina Holst’s blog Stylizimo for quite a few years now, her style is forever timeless, clean, incredibly welcoming and of course a little hint of humour – it’s home decor perfection at it’s best! Her beautiful approachable style means that you can add new accents to your home without too much expense, like a simple framed print, a gold sequinned cushion, a magazine slung over a old wire cloths hanger or boldly painting a room black – it’s the little touches that make all the difference. This is Nina‘s gorgeous apartment that she shared with the oh so lovely blog My Scandinavian Home – which you simply must look at if you’re after a little, or a lot, of home decor inspiration! x
Oh my, I am quite excited about today’s post – I’m in love with how bright and cheerful is it!
