This is easily one of my favourite times for so many people in New Zealand. Autumn means Feajoa season. I’d never heard of Feijoa’s before I moved to New Zealand and am still to acquire the taste of this sweet yet tart fruit, but adore them in recipes.

So to celebrate the change in seasons, the arrival of a fruit that everyone will have in abuncandce soon and of course a lovely and realaxing Easter. I thought I’d make a delicious Feijoa and Walnut cake for you to try this long weekend. It takes no time at all to make and is absolutely perfect when served warm with a cup of tea for any visitors you have over the weekend.
