It’s absolutely no secret that I adore Nina from Stylizimo’s impeccable style – everything that she touches turns to organised chic bliss and her beautiful new walk is closet has quickly become some of the most pinned images and of course the envy of every single woman in the world who dreams of a closet like this! My hubby and I have been staring at our annoyingly small closet for years now trying to work out how to make the best use of the sliver of space that we’ve been given, we still haven’t worked out the best option that doesn’t cost the earth! But now after seeing Nina’s absolutely beautiful walk in closet, we are now very very tempted to turn one of our spare bedrooms into a blissful organised space like this – with of course a gorgeous wall hung high heel shoe rack! x
Over the weekend I shared a few delicious sneak peeks of this gorgeous Black Doris Plum and Vanilla Layer Cake that I made for Ben’s Nana’s 90th Birthday party – which of course you can see here and here if you missed them. And as promised, I’m so thrilled to share my new recipe for one of the most delicious cakes I’ve made in a while. The vanilla soaked sweetness and sometimes tartness of the plums work so perfectly with this delicate vanilla cake and icing – the best part is this gorgeous summer cake is wonderfully simple to prepare, ridiculously pretty and will quickly become a crowd favourite at your next celebration. I hope you enjoy it as much our family did. x

I’m so excited to share with you today that one of the most stunning homewares store in Newmarket, Indie Home Collective have just announced that, for the first time in New Zealand, they are stocking the most beautiful lighting from Ay Illuminate. This beautiful, and exclusive, range of lighting from the Netherlands really is beyond perfect and such a lovely organic nod to nature as each piece is carefully hand crafted by a team of very talented designers using local techniques. I have to admit I’ve been on the hunt for a statement light for our home that is a perfect blend of art and of course function – I think I may have just found it, I’m fallen head over heels in love with the light in the second image! Be sure to pop into the gorgeous Indie Home Collective as soon as possible and take a peek at their beautiful new range – and of course the rest of their amazing homewares! x
Happy Monday everyone, even though it’s a little gloomy and rainy today after the most perfect summers weekend – that doesn’t mean that summer isn’t still still here, or that delicious summer drinks can’t be made up to cool down on a beautiful day. I’m so thrilled to be working alongside Tip Top Ice Cream again this year and am incredibly honoured to share my first recipe of 2014. With more beautiful summer days to come I couldn’t think of anything more perfect than whipping up a few delicious, incredibly refreshing and oh so easy Tropical Summer Crush – with the long weekend coming up I’ve a feeling this delicious drink will quickly become a staple in your home this summer. x

There are very few places in the world that are as whimsical and completely breathtaking as the scenery in Provence, France. We had the absolute pleasure of traveling through this beautiful country side way back in 2009 and I would love to get back there one day, just to sit and admire the beauty with a delicious cheese and wine picnic with gorgeous friends. For now though I’m quite thankful that the very talented and lovely Feather & Stone recently visited this beautiful part of the world and photographed the most stunning wedding shoot – it’s beyond magical and everything you would hope a wedding hosted in Provence would be, simple, elegant, rustic, surrounded by raw untouched nature and of course absolutely perfect. You simply must take a peek and admire the rest of Feather & Stone’s beautiful Provence Inspiration Wedding, you’ll want to pack your bags and fly to France straight away. x

I’m beyond excited that my first recipe on the blog this year is from the gorgeous Mia from Mia Loves Pretty – especially as it’s to do with one of my all time favourite fruits, mango! My Grandparents have the most incredible mango orchid back in our home town in Queensland, so amazing that I refuse to eat any mango that they haven’t grown – so summer for me and all of our family and friends means eating far too many mangoes and forever washing your arms and face to stop any acid burns from the stunningly rich fruit. So you could only imagine my sheer delight when Mia sent through this delicious Fresh Mango Pops recipe – not only is it wonderfully simple to make it would be the most perfect afternoon treat for any summers day, even Mia’s adorable puppy likes them! I hope everyone is have a lovely summer so far, I’m off to see if I can find a mango that is hopefully as good as the ones my Grandparents grown each year so I can whip up a batch of Mia Loves Pretty’s delicious Mango Pops. x

Hello 2014, it’s so so lovely to be back after a blissful three week holiday with my gorgeous family and friends – I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas holiday too and had a wonderful start to the new year! I’m terribly excited about what 2014 is going to bring, it’s such a wonderful feeling starting a new year with a ‘clean’ slate and wondering how it will unfold – plus it’s also nice not knowing how it will unfold. Ben and I are hoping that this year is a lot calmer than 2013, it was far too busy for us and we’re looking forward to having a year of catching up on things that we haven’t had a chance to do – like hiking across the Tongariro Crossing that we did last week with Cake Pop Kitchen and her hubby, it was easily one of the most incredible walks we’ve ever done and I can’t wait to see more of New Zealand! For now though I thought I would share one of the most beautiful workspaces that I’ve stumbled upon recently, the very lovely Souraya from Binti Home Blog easily has one of the most envious and stunning home offices I’ve ever seen. The incredible wooden desk by House Doctor is beyond divine and of course the simple neutral and white styling of her office is so perfect – I honestly couldn’t think of a more wonderful space to work from this year! Here’s to a truly wonderful 2014, I can’t wait to see what this year brings everyone. x
