Despite the blustery wind, rain and cold that comes with winter, one of the best parts about the cooler seasons is the clothing! I’ve never been a fan of the cold, but I am a fan of winter clothing and absolutely adore layering beautiful winter jackets, scarfs, jumpers and accessorising with bold jewels, lipstick and of course a stunning pair of boots to make up for dreary winter days. Here are a few of my favourite cozy yet stylish looks and items to help get you through the blustery winter weather we’re having at the moment – or of course on seconds thoughts, curling up inside under a heavy knit throw with a good book and warm cup of tea is just as perfect this time of year. x

I’m so proud and excited to share this post, as this coming Thursday my incredibly talented mother in law Rosemary Nightingale will be showcasing her stunning collection of art, you can see a peek of her work above, alongside some of New Zealand’s most talented artists. For anyone who has a deep love of New Zealand art ranging in mediums from painting, sculpture, photography and jewellery and are looking for something to do this Thursday evening or upcoming weekend – this beautiful exhibition and the grand opening of one of Aucklands newest gallery Artbase.org truly is the event to attend. Their opening exhibition will run until the 7th of August and the grand opening is this Thursday the 26th of June from 6pm at 78 Coates Ave, Orakei. xo
With the days getting shorter and colder it’s such a lovely time curl up inside and not feel bad about it at all – one of my favourite things to do during winter is to take myself to bed a little earlier than normal and curl up with a good book and delicious cup of tea. It always feels so indulgent. I’ve always had a deep love for beautiful bedding, it’s always been something that I’ve spent a little more on as I know that it will last and continue to get better with age – which was why I squealed with delight when I found out that Claudia from Indie Home Collective is now stocking the most beautiful Bedouin Societe linen bedding designed by Virginia Feldtman. To add a little more luxe to this already stunning collection – the linen used for their bedding is sourced from regions in Northern France, how divine is that? Not only is the bedding beyond soft to touch, it will last, get better with age and of course the pallet of neutral tones and pastels make for a perfect centrepiece to a French country inspired bedroom. If you haven’t had a chance to visit Indie Home Collective yet, make this the reason, I’ve no doubt you’ll fall madly in love with how Claudia has styled her beautiful shop. Happy lazy winter days everyone. x
The cooler months in New Zealand means that the wedding season is always a little slower, which is the perfect time for brides to be to plan for their upcoming summer weddings as vendors have more time to help plan your special day. I’m so honoured to share the upcoming Queenstown Wedding Fair that the very lovely and talented Sophia from NZ Wedding Fairs has organised – I truly wish there was something like this when we were planning our wedding in 2004, it would have made sourcing ideas and vendors a breeze. To all the beautiful brides and dapper grooms-to-be in and around Queenstown this truly is the wedding event of the year, and one not to be missed. Be sure to take a peek at NZ Wedding Fairs for more information about this wonderful event that’s being held in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. x

With the wedding season almost at a close, stylists and photographers have a little more time to create and share beautiful style shoots, I love it as it’s a lovely way to see their work in the very best light. It’s also a perfect time for brides to be to gather ideas for their upcoming weddings in the new year. I’m terribly honoured to share this beautiful Geometric Styled Shoot that was perfectly styled by Jess from Two Foxes and beautifully photographed by my amazing friend Coralee Stone. I love the minimalistic blonde wood and all white table setting with touches of bright pastels and lush succulents its beyond perfect – and of course the truly stunning lace Rue De Seine dress pared with a giant protea bouquet is to die for! Be sure to take a peek at here to see the rest of this beautiful shoot.
While the weather is still on the slightly warmer side before winter chills us all to the core – here is one of my favourite Autumn outfits at the moment that can easily take you from day to night. Match a chic black lace dress with a cozy pale blue knit, heels a statement handbag and you’re good to go!
