One of my absolute favourite parts about blogging is being able to stumble upon and admire the way that others style and design their home, and then of course share it with all of you. This lovely Melbourne home is one of those that will quickly inspire you to either redecorate a room, add some mismatched pattern into a bathroom or go on a massive cleaning spree – either way, it’s absolutely beautiful and such a stunning home. I love the blonde wood cabinets in the black white bathroom paired with a strong patterned tile on the floor, it’s just perfect. And of course the all white kitchen with the circle thumb nooks to open the draws – it’s such a clever idea and such a clean look. One of the things that we’re really wanting to achieve in our next home that we renovate is to add a more texture through wooden panelling on the walls, beautiful tiles and different materials throughout the home – and this beautiful Melbourne home that I spotted on Share Design is a lovely place to start daydreaming of out next reno. x

A little while ago I stumbled upon the most beautiful instagram feed that then led to one of the most lovely and thoughtful online shops I’ve seen in a while. I’ve been wanting to share these beautiful gifts by Bindle for a while now and thought that the middle of winter is the perfect time to treat yourself or a loved one of these gorgeous packs filled with easily the most well though out selection of Australian made items for any occasion. If you’re after a perfect gift idea for someone special be sure to take a peek at the full range of Bindles here – I’ve no doubt you’ll quickly fall in love with these truly stunning bindles. Happy shopping everyone. x

winter-style-roundup Despite the blustery wind, rain and cold that comes with winter, one of the best parts about the cooler seasons is the clothing! I’ve never been a fan of the cold, but I am a fan of winter clothing and absolutely adore layering beautiful winter jackets, scarfs, jumpers and accessorising with bold jewels, lipstick and of course a stunning pair of boots to make up for dreary winter days. Here are a few of my favourite cozy yet stylish looks and items to help get you through the blustery winter weather we’re having at the moment – or of course on seconds thoughts, curling up inside under a heavy knit throw with a good book and warm cup of tea is just as perfect this time of year. x

It’s so lovely to be home after a truly blissful and much needed week away in Rarotonga last week. Ben and I have never been to the Cook Islands before so after the enormous stresses of the part two years a little pre-winter getaway was the perfect excuse for us to spend relaxing week creating new memories in paradise. The water is crystal clear and full of beautiful coral and tropical fish, the roads buzz with a quite hum of scooters and the tropical forest high in the mountains are a perfect centre piece to this truly magical place – it’s one of those places where everywhere you look truly is a postcard. It’s also one of the first holidays we’ve ever come back from without many stories as we truly did nothing, as our week at the picturesque Little Polynesian Resort was filled with reading, sleeping, drinking cocktails, swimming and eating, it was complete heaven and I’d go back in a second. I’d love to hear of where you’ve travelled to lately or if you have any travel plans coming up this year or next. xo

Made-From-Scratch--Photos-by-Coralee-from-Coralee-and-Alex-(129-of-167) Happy Friday everyone, gosh this week has one of those weird weeks where it’s oddly calm but flat out busy! It’s been a week full of exciting changes surrounding my new design and logo, family matters that break the heart, delicious media launches and of course counting down the days until my hubby and I fly to Rarotonga next Saturday for a much needed holiday and a little down time. Our little holiday can’t come soon enough! After such a funny week full of every emotion known to man I’ve reached the end of the week so tired and a little unmotivated – thank goodness a break is just around the corner.

So I thought I would share something that brings so much joy to my heart, a little peek into something that two of my dearest friends help me style a little while ago – the truly talented Mel from All the Frills styled everything and my amazing friend Coralee (just wait until you see Coralee’s new brand and website, it’s incredible!!) photographed this beautiful dessert table, I quite like that you haven’t seen the whole thing as I can keep sharing bits and pieces from it. You can find all the recipes for these three cakes on the blog, here, here and here. I also want to share a few of my favourite things that I’ve stumbled upon during the week that you should defiantly take a peek at over the weekend. I hope everyone has a truly lovely weekend planned and to all the mama’s our there, Happy Mothers Day xo

They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Lest We Forget.

Pastel-Blooms-Moodboard Happy Friday everyone, I hope you all had a lovely week! The incredibly sweet ProFlowers asked me to put together a little mood board of my favourite floral trend at the moment – I can’t remember the last time I made mood board (they’re so pretty and so much fun, I think I’m going to have to get back into the habit!) and I’m having a little crush on pastels at the moment. So I thought a beautiful pastel mood board was the perfect way to celebrate the end of a lovely week, plus Im yet to meet anyone who doesn’t have soft spot for a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I hope you all have a truly magical weekend planned, I’m off to buy a pretty selection of flowers for our home. x

valentine-gift-guide Happy Friday everyone, I hope you all had a lovely day off yesterday to celebrate Waitangi Day. I haven’t done a little round up of my new favourite items for a while, so I thought there is no time like the present and of course with Valentines Day just around the corner it’s always nice to gather ideas for your loved one – or of course your self! I couldn’t think of anything more perfect than celebrating the end of the working week than with a chic selection of beautiful jewellery, beauty, home decor, clutches, must have hair products – I have to admit I’m slightly obsessed with the new Remington Keratin Straighter, I’ve wonderfully thick, curly hair and this beauty carefully glides through my hair with such easy that I’ve soft straight hair in no time… which of course is incredibly helpful for a windy day like today! I hope everyone has a truly wonderful day planned and of course, you can never go wrong with a bunch of freshly picked flowers for your love this Valentines Day. xo
