June-Instagram-Roundup-Made-From-Scratch

Gosh, can anyone else believe that we’re now half way through 2014 – as fast as it’s going, it’s also been a really lovely year for us so far that’s been full of catching up with friends, dreaming incredibly big dreams for our future, planning new adventures to go on (like planing a trip back to Vietnam at the end of the year!!) and enjoying life without uni. It’s been bliss! I mentioned a little while ago that we’ve been busy working behind the scenes to rebrand Made From Scratch – it’s time to shake things up with a new look, layout and add a few exciting features to the blog. I’m so excited to say that the design is all finished (the perfectionist in me slowed everything down) and I’m now the proud new owner of a stunning new logo and blog, fingers crossed I’ll be able to unveil it in all it’s glory shortly.

So to celebrate a lovely year so far I thought I’d share a little collection of my favourite images that I’ve shared on Instagram during June. And also to thank each and everyone of supporting, sharing and being apart of this with me – none of this would ever be possible without you and I’m truly so honoured that you’re kind enough to support my work. Thank you so much, I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings. x

SteakPakiriSM

SteakPakiriProductShot I have to admit, it’s very odd sharing a food post with out a recipe. But sometimes it’s a must, especially when it’s a delicious new limited edition pie from the creative folk at I Love Pies. I was lucky enough to receive their new limited edition pie this afternoon and my gosh, it’s so so good! As lovely as it is to make a pie from scratch, sometimes you just need something easy, delicious and of course made with New Zealand’s freshest and finest ingredients – which is perfect, as I Love Pies only choose the best ingredients! If you’re a already a fan of I Love Pies stunning rang of sweet and savoury pies, you simply must try their limited edition Angus Beef Steak and Pakiri Blue Cheese Pie, the steak and blue cheese filling paired with flakey sour cream pastry is to die for. Serve with either fresh salad or roast veggies for a perfect dinner on a chilly autumn evening!

With Autumn well and truly here, now is certainly the time to do a little Autumn/Winter shopping so that you stay warm and chic through the cooler months. I’ve always had a very soft spot for well cut jackets and cozy scarves (which is rather obvious from my Pinterest board) – pair this seasons jackets and scarves with jeans, a cozy knit sweater and a killer pair of heels and you’ve got the perfect ‘uniform’ for Winter this year. x

Passion-delicious9 I love getting emails from my lovely friend Mia from Mia Love Pretty, they’re always so happy, full of wonderful news and of course delicious recipes like this amazing Passion Coconut Delicious! I’m always so honoured that Mia would want me to share her beautiful recipes with all of you, recipes are such a personal thing and it’s always so lovely to pass them on! Plus with the weather slowly starting to cool down it’s the perfect time to get back into the kitchen and try some new seasonal recipes, the combination of passionfruit and lemon in a self saucing pudding couldn’t be more perfect for a Autumn dessert. Be sure to take a peek at the rest of Mia’s beautiful blog, you’ll love it!

Autumn-Picnic-

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you had a lovely weekend – we had such a wonderfully relaxing and lazy weekend, we worked out it was the first weekend we didn’t have to be somewhere, paint something, or landscape something for the first time since the start of the year, it was bliss! We also decided that after such a busy start to the year we should take a little more time out to just enjoy things and slow down a little – and creating a little outdoor picnic in your back yard or favourite park is the easiest way to do that! It doesn’t have to be much, just a couple of comfy outdoor cushions, cute wooden cutlery, amazing food and of course your closest friends and family! It all sounds so perfect, I think I might have to plan a lazy autumn picnic for this weekend. x

Oh, Autumn really is starting to settle in, the days are getting shorter, cooler and the rain has finally arrived. It’s that time of the year when you start to pull out your winter goodies from storage to set yourself up for winter, or treat yourself to something new and cozy – like a gorgeous pair of moccasin slippers, aren’t they divine!! I adore this time of the year where your bedroom becomes a little more cozy and you don’t feel bad for spending a few lazy hours curled up in bed reading a good book over the weekend while a scented candle lights the room. x
