Aww, Happy Valentines Day everyone! I thought that I would celebrate this lovely day with one of the sweetest weddings ever from 100 Layer Cake! Ruth and Ed’s beautiful Maine wedding is beyond perfect, it’s so full of love (I’m a little smitten with the giant heart balloons!!) and happy moments, it’s been styled to perfection with the softest of pastels, the brightest of colours and of course the most incredible barn reception ever – it’s truly divine! I hope that everyone is has a wonderful Valentines Day and you’re spoilt rotten by your loved one! xo

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had a lovely weekend basking in the beautiful sunshine. We had a very relaxing weekend followed by a pretty lavish event, which was pretty strange but still lots of fun! Like pretty much everyone I’m a little in love with summer, everything is just so warm, fresh and of course you get to eat lots of yummy strawberries. I LOVE that Katrina and Nick had their wedding at strawberry farms, there is something so incredibly sweet about that, plus their wedding styled by the hugely talented Bash Please is to die for – I can’t get enough of their gorgeous invites, colourful backdrop and of course barn reception it’s all just so perfect. x

Happy Monday everyone! I am so excited to show part two of the Abbeville Styled Shoot that I organised and styled a few weeks ago with some very lovely and talented ladies. The delicious goodies on the dessert table were made by some very talented bakers, Sophie from Cake Pop Kitchen made the amazing cake pops, Lucy made the to die for white chocolate truffles and I whipped up all three cakes and the sweet little meringues. The gorgeous drinks table was styled by the wonderfully talented On My Hand – they also very generously supplied all the stunning props that you see on the drinks and dessert table! The oh so pretty and elegant props for the dining table were supplied by Abbeville Estate the flowers by Blush Flowers, and wonderfully photographed by Poppy Moss. I am beyond proud of how this shoot turned out and forever thankful for all the help I had bringing it to life – I still have one more pretty post to come. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as we do. x
Happy Friday everyone, I am beyond excited to share with you part one of what myself and a group of very talented ladies and gents worked on a few weeks ago! We had the absolute privilege and honour of styling and shooting a mock wedding out at the ridiculously beautiful Abbeville Estate - by far the most wonderful location for any wedding or event. The ‘bride’ wore two amazing dresses from Rue de Seine her hair and make up was beautiful styled by the wonderfully talented Kaitlin Chapman and our very dapper ‘groom’ was dressed by the ever stylish Crane Brothers! The oh so stunning flowers were by Blush Flowers, the sweetest invites ever were designed by the wonderfully talented Lucy Olive Designs and the stunning photos were captured by Poppy Moss - phew and that’s only part one! I will never be able to thank everyone enough for all their help with this shoot, it was beyond beautiful – enjoy part one, there are two more delicious posts to come. xo
I have a very sweet little story about this beautiful wedding from Queensland, Australia which was beautiful photographed by the wonderfully talented Feather and Stone. I featured this wedding because it is by far one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen – I mean seriously how cool would it be to get married in a tree house then play a few rounds of croquet before partying the night away with your gorgeous friends and family! You can see more of their beautiful day here. x
Not long after I published this post I got the sweetest comment from the bride, Laura, thanking me for featuring her wedding and saying that my blog inspired her wedding day – to say I was flattered was a understatement, I even called Ben at work to tell him! I quickly emailed Laura, thanking her and saying how absolutely honoured I was that my blog inspired her wedding. We have since built up the loveliest friendship over emails and still to this day I am completely overwhelmed and so flattered that a sweet post about a wedding could introduce me to such a beautiful person and friendship – we’ve even baked together over Skype! Laura also has the most beautiful blog called The Velvet Doe which she started a few months ago, it is filled to the brim with stunning writing and the most gorgeous collection of bits and pieces that she finds inspiring – you simply must have look, I know you’ll love it as much as I do! x
Just over a week ago Ben and I and two very good friends of ours had the absolute pleasure of being invited to the re-opening of Abbeville Estate! Until I received the invite I had no idea that this amazing place even existed, tucked in just behind the hustle and bustle of the Auckland airport is the the beautifully calm and manicured gardens of Abbeville Estate – it comes complete with the sweetest little church, beautiful rustic barn and the most welcoming function room I have ever been to. The whole evening was perfect, from the attentive and kind wait staff too the most delicious array of food and sweet treats prepared by the very talented team at The Great Catering Company straight from the Estates delicious veggie garden. To any lovely couples who are starting their wedding planning, be sure to have a look at Abbeville Estate it will take your breath away. x

I want to thank everyone who is kind enough to read my blog every day, its so lovely and humbling to know that so many people enjoy my ramblings each and every day. I thought that I would thank you by making a rustic wedding inspiration board, I think if we were ever to renew our vows I would get everyone and go to a farm and have a huge potluck party with the most delicious food, everything would be handmade and so simple, its also a good excuse to make a Butterfly Fleur de Sel Caramel Cake! xx
