It is no secret that I am a fan of Black and white. There is something about the simple base of it that allows my crazy personality to change it around every week. And I mean e.v.e.r.y week. It drives the husband insane. With black and white, it is about textures and patterns. Creating depth so it is no flat and boring. Plus when you can get great cushions like these from Studio 6, how can you go wrong. You can have so much fun with shapes and lines. It lends itself to so many personalities. It’s really up to you. So go for gold…or black and white. Go on, I bet you’ll love it.

The-Great-Gatsby-

Over the weekend my hubby and I went to see The Great Gatsby, and I adored every second of it! I’ve been a huge fan of Baz Luhrmann’s films since Strictly Ballroom, and The Great Gatsby really is everything you’d expect from one of his beautiful films – an absolutely indulgent feast for the eyes, where anything and everything is possible and everyone is of course perfectly dressed. If you haven’t seen The Great Gatsby yet you really must, it is so beautiful, so beautiful in fact that I think I need to add a little 1920′s art deco to our home and my wardrobe some how! x

Here is a little something for you, to channel your inner sunshine kid. And what could be  better than with a dose of double denim. And  we didn’t forget that man in your life this week, or the one to be in your life…If he dresses like this that is. I mean come on, who can say no to a bearded man with tattoos in denim? Most of you? Well not I.

Think different textures, Think unusual cuts, Think more layers, Think double denim.

I hope everyone had a wonderfully relaxing cozy long weekend – winter really has settled in, so I thought it would be the perfect timing to share one of the most beautiful weddings from summer to help brighten the day! I’m so excited to share Hayley and Heath’s amazing Raglan wedding with you – I could hardly believe my eyes when Coralee first showed me these photos, they’re just so beautiful! Photographed by the insanely talented Coralee and Alex, Hayley and Heath’s wedding really is everything you’d want from a summer wedding, the boys firing shot guns before getting ready, picnics, first looks, incredible scenery and of course saying I do on the beach before watching the sunset over Raglan – it’s all just too perfect! You can see more of this beautiful wedding here, plus how could I not mention their gorgeous Rottweiler Kal, who proudly wore a sign around his neck announcing that “My humans are getting married”, how gorgeous is that! x

Well yesterday, winter arrived in all it’s hailing glory! And I don’t know about you but all I really wanted to do was to bundle up and go hibernate. This may lead you to believe that I dislike winter, but in fact it is quite the opposite.  I am fan. But I am all about being prepared. I love the thick layers of winter, knits and coats, wools and heavy delicious fabrics. yum. So rug up and get shopping from the comfort of your warm little home, because Winter is coming. ( shameless Game of Thrones reference. Thank you. )

Til next time.

Father-Rabit-settingHappy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a really lovely weekend – my hubby was away all weekend apart of the 48 hour film festival so I had a lovely couple of days pottering around the home and having a huge autumn spring clean – it’s so so therapeutic! I also had the absolute pleasure of lunching and shopping with some very lovely ladies and visiting the beautiful Father Rabbit store with my friend! If you haven’t had the chance to take a peek at this beautiful shop, you simply must! From the all white interior, the impeccable display of the most beautiful items ever and of  course how calm and inviting it is – it really is so lovely with far too many gorgeous things to choose from, is it ok to say that I just want it all?! x
