Oh, I think it’s every woman’s dream to have a beautiful styled closet – the colours, patterns and of course the space is just to die for! Adore Home Magazine had the absolute honour of being invited into Megan Hess’s beautiful home and talk to her about her incredible style, tips for styling your own closet and of course her beautiful fashion illustrations – you can read the full interview here on page 40. After reading this lovely interview I had a quick peek at our wardrobe and decided on a simple change to start with – I swapped all of our old mis-matched cloths hangers to beautiful new wooden ones, it completely transformed our wardrobe into something organised and elegant. I’d love to hear about how you style your closet, be it with a beautiful piece of art, delicious candle or simply showing off your favourite pair of shoes – it’s often the simplest details that have the most impact. x

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had a glorious weekend. I spent yesterday admiring the gorgeous Grand Wedding Show with some very lovely ladies and my amazing friend who’s getting married this winter, it was such a wonderful way to spend a Sunday! If you were in Auckland, did you manage to go? It was overflowing with so many stunning vendors! Oh, I also stumbled upon this lovely Pastel Blue Petal Chocolate Layer Cake that I’d made for a sweet baby shower a while ago – I love re-finding pretty images hidden on my computer, it’s such a lovely surprise! I still adore how soft the blue is, it’s the perfect hue to match a delicious chocolate layer cake. x

Oh my goodness, could this beautiful Autumn wedding be any more perfect?! I adore that Amanda and Trav said their vows to each other in front of the church, it’s such a lovely idea! The whole day really was styled to perfection, from the delicious sweets table, beautiful Paris themed table settings and of course, the most fantastic treat for your guests ever – you’re very own candy floss machine, how incredible is that! I love this crisp weather, it’s the perfect time to spend an afternoon potting in the kitchen making delicious bite size cookies. We were lucky enough to have a few, well a lot, of these incredibly moreish spiced cookies with warm cups of tea with Ben’s parents yesterday afternoon. They’re so good that I had to whip up a batch the second we got home – they’re so simple to make and I promise you wont be able to stop at one. x

I’m so sorry for the late post today – I’ve been sorting out heating for our home seeing is winter is almost upon us. I’m so excited to share this gorgeous Harvest Wedding – I could hardly believe my eyes when I stumbled upon it, it’s absolutely stunning! I love that the whole day was themed around child hood memories of harvesting you’re own fruit and veggies – plus how gorgeous are the little picnic box favours!
