Oh my, does everyone else agree that every Wednesday should be a public holiday, I hope that everyone had a wonderful day off yesterday with their friends and family – the weather was far too perfect for words! I’d like to introduce you Alice Stephenson, she is the very proud (and lucky) owner of this stunning apartment, I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw it in the latest issue of Adore - isn’t her home beyond amazing?! I’d love to decorate our home like this one day, it’s so colourful, cheerful and inviting! Alice styled her lovely new abode with the help of her sister-in-law Claudia Stephenson and was beautiful photographed by her good friend Hannah Blackmore - I love how there are so many wonderful pops of bright pinks, oranges, patterns and textures, it’s styling at it’s very best! Happy Friday everyone, how lovely are short weeks and long weekends, I think they should be compulsory! Can anyone else believe that it’s already February, how did that happen, although my hubby did remind me that it’s my birthday this month, so that’s very very exciting! What a beautiful summer New Zealand has been experiencing these past few weeks! I don’t think I’ve had this kind of heat and clear blue skies in years – and am loving it!
One of the great things about living in Auckland compared to Wellington is that people love to wear colour – it reminds me of when I moved from San Francisco to Los Angeles. You go from an all black wardrobe to an assortment of brights and patterns - something this designer loves! One can’t help but feel vibrant and happy when surrounded by brights!
A lot of new things have been buzzing in the studio this past week! We released our latest addition to the shop: baking decorations! Here you can find cake and cupcake toppers in all our designs. And don’t forget, just like with any of our work – have something in mind but don’t see it online – let us know and we can custom make it!
We’re also working furisouly away getting ready for the New Zealand Gift and Homeware Fair - our first trade show! Not to mention working on two new products to be released soon and a few markets coming up as well! All to be released in detail soon..!

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had a lovely weekend basking in the beautiful sunshine. We had a very relaxing weekend followed by a pretty lavish event, which was pretty strange but still lots of fun! Like pretty much everyone I’m a little in love with summer, everything is just so warm, fresh and of course you get to eat lots of yummy strawberries. I LOVE that Katrina and Nick had their wedding at strawberry farms, there is something so incredibly sweet about that, plus their wedding styled by the hugely talented Bash Please is to die for – I can’t get enough of their gorgeous invites, colourful backdrop and of course barn reception it’s all just so perfect. x

Weekly Roundup 28th December
I adore the summer holidays, it’s the perfect time to relax, catch up with family and friends and of course take lots of afternoon naps after eating and drinking so much on Christmas Day! We had a lovely time away in Wellington, but it’s so so lovely to be back home and to potter around the house and garden while the weather is warm – hehe I’m kind of in love with our little veggie garden to be, I can’t wait to see how it grows over the summer months! To all my readers in the southern hemisphere - Happy Summer everyone! As you may have read from my previous post – the weather here in Auckland has been a bit pants but as of tomorrow we’re supposed to experience sun for a whole week! I’m getting quite excited about the prospect of going to the beach, exploring waterfalls, going on walks – oh the possibilities!
Yesterday we went strawberry picking – my first time berry picking! I had such a blast even though it was a bit drizzly out and we left the fields with 4.2kg worth of delicious, ruby red strawberries! In hindsight that may have been a bit of overkill but we had a blast doing it and now have heaps of berries for our morning smoothies – win win!
So with all this excitement of summer I decided to make this weekly roundup a bright and colourful one! I hope you’re all having a great holiday!

Every year the very talented and lovely Anna Spiro of store Black & Spiro dresses up her shop windows with the most beautiful and ‘out of the box’ Christmas window displays – you can read all about it in the latest issue of Adore Home Magazine! I love how bright and fresh it is without being too ‘Christmasy’ – it’s perfect! There are so many gorgeous items that your eye falls upon, I’m quite smitten with the cushions and pineapple accents, I couldn’t think of a more beautiful way to enter Anna’s gorgeous store – which is at the top of my ‘must visit list’ when I go back to Brisbane. x

Happy Monday everyone, I hope that you all had a lovely and safe weekend and weren’t too affected by the very windy and stormy weather that we’ve been having. A while ago Ben and I decided to not book anything in for our weekend just gone so that we could have a good old fashioned clean up around the house – we even hired a 9 cubic meter skip that we managed to fill in less than two hours! It was amazing to see just how much stuff we had lying around the house, everything from left over wood from renovations, rotten veggie garden wood to a whole lot of rubbish under the house left over from the previous owner! Our power then went our for over four hours so it was the perfect excuse to go through all the cupboards in every room and tidy things up – it’s honestly the best feeling ever and our home feels so much ‘lighter’! I’d love to hear what you got up to over the weekend. xo
