Just before Christmas my gorgeous brother Ben, his beautiful wife-to-be Lucy and the awesome Juno had their engagement shoot with lovely Corlaee and Alex around Milford. Aren’t they the the sweetest trio you’ve ever seen, we were lucky enough to all be at Mum’s last night when these were posted, there was a lot of oohing and aahing over these photos. To me this is what a engagement shoot should be all about, what do you think?

You can see more of their engagement shoot here. x

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far, we’re still in holiday mode as we both don’t go back to work until next week so it’s lovely having that extra bit of time off! The wedding season is also in full swing in New Zealand, to all the beautiful brides and grooms to be, I hope your wedding planning is going well. Here are a few amazing wedding details from Grey Likes Wedding I love how simple each of these details are, they would be so easy to bring into your wedding some way. x

Today is our One Year Wedding Anniversary! Its amazing to think that this time last year we were nervously getting ready for one of the most amazing days in our life. It still amazes us at what we’ve achieved this year, we have lived in three houses, one of which we bought! We have managed to navigate a crazy year personally to come out still very much in love and stronger than ever. Last night we had a Halloween gathering with some good friends but today it is just about us two together enjoying the beautiful Auckland weather

Phew, what a wonderfully busy few days we’ve had. I spent most of Saturday in the kitchen baking up a storm with Jolie, there really isn’t anything better than pottering in your new kitchen making Vanilla with White Chocolate Ganache Cupcakes and Chocolate with Raspberry Curd Cupcakes, drinking champagne and baking for our housewarming party that night. It was so wonderful to have everyone over and catch up, as always I forgot to take any photos of the party, just baking and dinner pong really, the perfect night to celebrate our new home! I also have some really exciting news, the lovely Coralee & Alex are going to take photos of our new humble abode in exchange for dinner and lots of baking from me, I can’t wait to have them over for dinner, I’m already planning on what to cook them! I hope that your are able to wait a little longer for the photos of our home, I promise it will be worth the wait. xx

Red Bliss

1. Dessert Table 2. Red Velvet Cake 3. Our Wedding 4. Vintage Bike 5. Cherry Favor Bags 6. Strawberry Lemonade 7. Retro

Gosh this week has gone fast, I feel like I haven’t had any time to do anything really apart from paint and look after sick kiddies that I nanny for. I’m just so glad that my arms haven’t fallen off yet from painting so much! I was looking through my wedding photos again yesterday taken by the insanely talented Coralee and Alex and remembered why I loved having a red theme running through our wedding. Its such a beautiful colour and you really can do so much with it, I adore the idea of the Red Velvet Cake in mason jars and fresh cherries as favors for your lovely guests. Whats your favourite? xx

Bright White

1. Macaroons 2. Bouquet 3. Table Setting 4. Kitchen 5. Living Room 6. Flowers

You might have worked out by now that I have a slight obsession with white complimented with bright colours, I find it so clean and refreshing. Ben and I are now getting into the nitty gritty of house stuff, we only have a few weeks left until we get the keys and then the fun stuff of getting a new kitchen and re painting everything will begin. We are both so excited and can’t wait to see how everything will turn out, hopefully it wont be to overwhelming with all the white. xx

Kelly + Aaron

The ever talented Coralee and Alex {who also took our wedding photos} have out done them selves yet again with the photography Kelly + Aaron’s beautiful summer wedding! I love everything about this wedding, the purple bridesmaids dresses and flowers are stunning, the car is classic, the venue is simple and inviting and the candy bar and the cake looked so delicious. I wish Kelly + Aaron all the best for married life!
