Oh wow, New Zealand really is having the most wonderful summer at the moment it’s just so warm, perfect for a little gardening!! You may have noticed that I’ve been doing a little ‘spring’ cleaning on Made From Scratch lately, I found it a little to hard at times to find a certain recipe or post, especially as there are so many lovely posts now! So I thought what would be better than a gallery of pretty images so that you’re able to see a little preview of the post, this will be throughout the whole blog. I’m still slowly making my way through the rest of the blog, it’s been pretty tedious but so wonderful (and sometimes very weird) to look back on my old posts and see how much the blog has evolved over the last 2 or so years, thank you all so much for all of your support! I’m so happy to say though that the eat and wed categories are all finished for you to admire – I have to say a huge thank you to Coralee and Alex for very generously supplying the category images for wed, aren’t they pretty!! Have a fantastic weekend everyone, I’d love to hear you’re thoughts about the new layout. x

This evening I’m hosting my very last baking class for the year – is anyone else a little freaked that the end of the year is almost here!? I’ve had the most amazing time hosting my classes and still have to pinch myself that this is now my job, it’s beyond incredible and wouldn’t be possible without all of you! I have to thank Ellie from Jel Photography and Coralee from Coralee and Alex Photography for all of their beautiful photos – you are both far too lovely and talented for words! And of course to everyone who has attended a class, commented on a photo, shared a recipe and for all of your endless support, you all mean the absolute world to me – thank you so much!
I do have some very very exciting plans in motion for Made From Scratch in the new year – I’m honestly bursting with excitement to tell you all, but you’ll just have to wait. Until then, have a little wander down memory lane from my first class – it still makes my heart swell with pride. x

With Christmas just around the corner I’ve been thinking of things to bake, I’m not a fan at all of the traditional fruit cake, it’s just too heavy for me. But angel food cake, now this is the yummiest lightest cake you will ever try, it was the main cake for the gorgeous neutral dessert table that I worked on with Coralee, All the Frills and Toodles Noodles a while ago. This light airy and oh so delicious cake would be the perfect way to end a family Christmas lunch or dinner with some sweet fresh berries sprinkled on top for a little Christmas cheer. x

Aw, thank you all so very much for your lovely comments about the neutral place setting & drinks table post – I’m so very flattered that you all enjoyed it so much, we had such a wonderful time putting it together! I’m so excited to show off part two of our shoot, the most stunning neutral table setting, styled by Mel from All the Frills (it’s like watching a magician work, when she sets up table, she’s just so talented!) I love how all the colour comes from the gorgeous paper goods from Toodles Noodles – the table runner is arrow wrapping paper, how fantastic is that! I hope that you like part two of our shoot as much as we do, I can’t wait to show you our final section, it’s a little on the deliciously sweet side! x

Oh my, I’m so very excited to show you the part one of a gorgeous styled shoot that Coralee, All the Frills, Toodles Noodles and myself have been busy working on lately – we all wanted something very clean, a little different and where the pops of colour came from the treats, drinks, paper goods and stunning props! I adore what Mel has done with the ladder with Liora’s place settings, it’s such a perfect way for your lovely guests to find their seat while sipping on yummy chai mojitos! I can’t wait to show you the rest of the shoot, it’s too pretty for words! x
