Well yesterday, winter arrived in all it’s hailing glory! And I don’t know about you but all I really wanted to do was to bundle up and go hibernate. This may lead you to believe that I dislike winter, but in fact it is quite the opposite. I am fan. But I am all about being prepared. I love the thick layers of winter, knits and coats, wools and heavy delicious fabrics. yum. So rug up and get shopping from the comfort of your warm little home, because Winter is coming. ( shameless Game of Thrones reference. Thank you. )
Til next time.

Happy Friday everyone, I hope that you have had a lovely week. I’ve been dying to share the easy how to for the glitter cake toppers since positing the delicious Ruffle Cake I made for Kaitlin’s birthday. They are the perfect little DIY for the weekend and take no time at all, which is perfect when you want to add a little sparkle to a special birthday cake – or any cake really! I’d love to know what you have planned for the weekend, I’m having a girly morning of craft markets with a very lovely friend and then enjoying a lazy weekend with my hubby. Have a lovely weekend everyone, I’d love to see what sweet cake toppers you make. x

Happy Friday everyone, how has your week been? Oh gosh, mine has been incredible, I have been completely blown away by how generous, kind and wonderful each and everyone of my readers, contributes and sponsors are – I will never be able to express how much you all mean to me! I have been busy chatting to some very talented ladies all week and we have something very exciting lined up that I can’t wait to share with you. I have had the absolute honor of being mentioned as one of the Hot Five’s on NZ Girl, something I am completely beside my self about. Also, a very lovely reader of mine just got in touch with me saying that the stunning Treehouse Wedding I featured, was in fact her wedding we both couldn’t believe it – naturally we have been excitedly emailing each other all afternoon! Phew what a glorious week! I am forever amazed and so humbled by all the beautiful and very talented people that I have met since starting Made From Scratch, you all mean the world to me and I want to thank you all so very much for your fantastic support. I hope you have a truly fantastic weekend planned. x

Happy Friday everyone, I hope you have had a wonderful week. The weather has really cooled down over the last few weeks, it’s the perfect time to catch up on some knitting {or if you’re like me, learn!} and curl up with a warm bowl of soup. I adore all of the wonderful colors of wool and patterns that Wool & Gang have, no doubt you will find something deliciously warm to add to your winter wardrobe. x
I hope everyone is having a lovely Easter break so far, we have really enjoyed the last four days off pottering around the house, catching up with family and generally catching up on life. I would love to know how you have been spending your Easter break. x
With the Easter long weekend almost upon us, what could be better than making a few of these gorgeous neon dip-dyed eggs featured by the lovely Oh Joy!, they are such a fun take on the normal pastel hues of Easter. I have been busy in the kitchen all day trying out a new recipe, that is very easy and so delicious, I can’t wait to show you it tomorrow! I’d love to know what your plans are over the long weekend I hope whatever it is you get to spend some relaxing time with your family and friends. x
