Gosh can anyone else believe that it is already May? It also means that it is the end of my April Challenge where my goal was to do something different everyday, it’s a great challenge to take as you push yourself to step a little out of your comfort zone and try something different. It was a wonderful and busy month full of digging holes, building decks, catching up with friends and family and then finished by my brother’s beautiful wedding. For everyone that joined in with me thank you so very much, for those of you who have just found out about the challenge, don’t fret you can always make your own May Challenge.

Phew what a busy weekend Ben and I had, amongst me coming down with a pretty horrid head cold, we started and finished digging out all the holes and a good part of our back yard needed for our new deck-to-be. I have really been enjoying this month as each day I have been doing something different as part of the April Challenge you can follow me here and here, but seeing as it is now half way through April I thought I should show you what I have been up to.

Our Home

When Ben and I bought our first home in April 2011, it was by far the biggest financial decision we have ever made together the whole journey of renovating, painting and so many sleepless nights has been one of the most rewarding things we have done. After six full months of renovating while living at my amazing parents house we moved into our home in October 2011 and have loved every minute since. Naturally with any home, your to-do list is pages and pages long but there is honestly nothing more exciting than knowing that there is always something to do, something to improve or completely redo and of course creating a gorgeous garden! We are so proud of our home, we hope that you like what we have done – I promise there will be a lot more before and after photos to come!

Dining Rooms

1. Soft 2 Bright 3. Red 4. Bistro 5. Aqua 6. Rustic

I hope everyone had a lovely and oh so relaxing weekend, I can’t believe that its August it really does seem like this year has just disappeared before it has even begun! Now that Ben and I are getting beautiful french doors leading form the dining room onto our still-needs-to-be-built deck, we have been obsessing on what kind of dining room we want to have! We both want to have the biggest table possible for the space, some cool bright chairs and some sort of hanging ceiling lights. There are so many amazing ideas out there, now we just have decided on what to have… xx
