Long weekends really are just so wonderful, they’re the perfect time to catch up on things around the house that normally get neglected – or simply just relaxing and catching up on doing nothing, that extra day off is total bliss! We’ve had a lovely long weekend so far, it’s been full or lazy long mornings, brunch at farmers markets, dinner up with wonderful friends, doing odd jobs around the house, catching up on a few lovely blogs and of course spending a few hours here and there on pinterest! Here are a few of my favourite things from our lazy long weekend. x
Doing
I’ve been busy prepping a few goodies for the gorgeous terrarium class at Studio 46 tomorrow night, I love putting together special treats for people, it’s so relaxing and rewarding. We’ve also been hanging a few new pieces around the home, I’m lucky enough to own a few gorgeous Rifle Paper Co. prints so they’ve finally found a lovely new home on our walls – which of course I’ll share once done.
Reading
There are two blogs that I’ve been pouring over all weekend, The Design Chaser is second to none for beautiful home decor inspiration – you simply must take a peek, it’s beautiful! And of course, the stunning new issue of Lovely Wedding Magazine has just come out and it’s as beautiful as ever – both are just so so lovely to read while curled up on the couch with a warm cup of tea!
Goodness me, what a fantastic couple of weeks it’s been, gorgeous weddings, amazing new guest bloggers, delicious cakes, and of course some very exciting news! Im beyond honoured and so very excited to share that my baking and decorating classes will now be held at the incredibly gorgeous Studio 46 in Takapuna – which if you haven’t visited you simply must go to one of their Stylists Garage Sales, they’re absolutely amazing! There are so many gorgeous classes to choose from over the next few months, everything from flower bombs, floral crowns, high teas, midwinter christmas’s and of course some delicious baking classes – be sure to take a peek at the classes and book your spot before they’re all gone! x
Oh and be sure to follow Studio 46 on Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook to keep up to date with the workshops! x
Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was filled with meeting the very lovely Natalie Dent for a hair and make up trial for amazing friend Emily, before celebrating the night away with her and some very gorgeous ladies at her hens night and of course a little baking – it was the perfect weekend! I often find that after I bake cakes like my pretty Ombre Tinkerbell Cake I crave making something simple and incredibly delicious, plus my hubby needed a birthday cake for some lucky work mates so it was perfect! This Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip cake is so divine, I promise that it will be your go to cake in no time at all! x

To say I am a teeny bit excited about today is a little of an understatement. My hubby and I are going to Sydney for six days, he’s going for work, I’m going for sightseeing, shopping and of course catching up with some very lovely ladies while there – the perfect little break! The blog might be a little quiet for the next few days, but I’ll be sharing all of my lovely new Sydney finds on Instagram and Facebook which you’re of course more than welcome to follow. Have a fantastic week everyone, I can’t wait to see and share all wonderful sites Sydney has to offer. x
