Happy Monday everyone, I hope that you all had a truly wonderful and very relaxing weekend. I sadly spent the weekend in a great deal of pain, my not to wise wisdom tooth decided to become very infected and make my face swell up like a chipmunk – so my amazing mama (ex dental nurse!!) and I spent a fair bit of time at A&E in the very early hours of Sunday morning getting me checked out and getting started on some pretty powerful pain relief. I used to think that tooth pain was a total myth until this weekend, I now have all the sympathy in the world for anyone who’s in pain due to a tooth – especially my gorgeous friend Laura from The Velvet Doe, the poor thing had a root canal last week! Hehe enough about things that hurt, one of the incredible things about when you’re feeling under the weather is the unconditional love and support that your family and friends give you from the goodness of their heart. I thought that I would share this gorgeous wallpaper that my beautiful and very talented sister-in-law Lucy Olive designed a while ago, it’s for everyone who has done something to help someone while they’re not their best – without you we wouldn’t get through our downs, thank you all so so much! xoxo

I love this time of the year, Christmas and holiday time is just around the corner and we are spoilt for choice with lots of delicious summer berries! I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for raspberries, they’re just so delicious and they pair beautifully with so many baked goods – I couldn’t think of a more perfect time of the year to whip up a few batches raspberry curd to add to your cakes, cupcakes or even give as a gift for the baker in your family. x

Hello!!! Oh my, how are you all, I’ve missed you all so much! My family and I have just had a gorgeous and very relaxing holiday to Brisbane and Rockhampton in very sunny Queensland. We had a wonderful ‘screen free’ week and took the time to have afternoon naps, go for swims, catch up with our wonderful family, go on lots of crazy rides at the theme parks and of course eat lots of yummy tropical fruit – I was also lucky enough to meet up with the impossibly lovely Laura from The Velvet Doe and her hubby Brenton for a couple of very fun filled nights out. It was a fantastic week and something that we all really needed, having a week away to think about things and recharge is now on the top of my to do list every now and then. I can’t wait to get back into the swing of things and share all my exciting new plans for Made From Scratch with you – and of course some yummy baking that I did with my Grandma while away. I hope all is well, I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to. x

On the 28th of April 2012, my very dapper brother married his sweetheart Lucy. It was the most beautiful, emotional and happy wedding I have ever had the honor of attending and being apart of. The whole day was beyond perfect from the beautiful details, the gorgeous photography from Coralee and Alex to the gorgeous sea foam blue of Lucy’s wedding dress which was the color of choice for the whole day and then to top it off they flew out that night to honeymoon in Disney Land! I am so proud of the incredible man my little brother has grown into and thrilled to bits to have Lucy as my sister-in-law, you are both so amazing and I couldn’t be happier for you both! Last night Ben, Lucy, Ben and I threw our Mama a surprise Mother’s Day dinner – we pulled out all the stops for her with beautiful flowers, lantern bunting, pretty place settings and a delicious dinner of roasted pork belly with scalloped potatoes and roasted vegetable salad followed by the most amazing coconut angel cake baked by Lucy. It was such a lovely night and the very least that we could do to show her just how incredible she is. Mum thank you so very much for everything that you have ever done and everything that you do for us, no matter how many dinners we throw you we will never be able to show you just how much we love you! Happy Mother’s Day. x

Hello everyone, how was your weekend? Ours was amazing, it was full of lots of family time and of course Ben and Lucy’s wedding on Saturday and oh my it was the most beautiful day, I am so excited to see/show you the photos once they come home from their honeymoon in Disney Land – ah too cute!

I can’t wait to get back into the swing of things with the blog, I have missed you all so much. I can’t wait to curl up with a warm bowl of home made chicken noodle soup and get back into a lovely little routine.

Easter

I hope everyone is having a lovely Easter break so far, we have really enjoyed the last four days off pottering around the house, catching up with family and generally catching up on life. I would love to know how you have been spending your Easter break. x

Happy Monday everyone, I hope that you had a lovely long weekend. We didn’t really get up to much which was perfect really, we had a lovely day in the park with our family yesterday and let Kora and Juno play and run around for a few hours, it’s so funny watching a bulldog and cavoodle play together. I also love everything about this gorgeous wedding from Every Last Detail, I also think 2012 is the year for doughnuts what do you think?

Also don’t forget to tag yourself in this photo to go into the draw to win a thank you prize pack for suporting Made From Scratch and getting over 1000 Facebook likes. x
