I love hunkering down in my office on rainy days, they’re always so productive and you finish the day feeling really good about everything. For those who so kindly follow me on instagram will have spotted that I’ve fallen a little in love with peg board since finding this pile of near new boards a few weeks ago in our local inorganic collection. Since then I’ve been moving it around the house and office trying to decide where to hang it and also what colour to paint it or leave it natural - I had so many lovely comments about what colour to choose and I finally settled on one. It’s a white paint with the slightest hint of mint, I didn’t want to get anything too bold, just yet, as I wanted the products that I style on it to pop. So in celebration of finding near new pegboard that has quickly found a spot in my office, here are a few of my favourite looks and products to style this versatile material – and of course office space. I’d love to know/see what you’d use pegboard for in your home. x

One of my all time favourite things about winter is the lack of humidity that summer brings – the reason being is that your hair tends to behave itself and you’re able try out beautiful new styles, and of course get away with wearing the cutest beanies and hats if you’re having a bad hair day. For the past few winters I’ve gotten into the habit of getting sleek new fringe cut, I love it as it’s such a beautiful way to update your look and of course can be grown out just in time for summer – I’m still trying decide if I get another fringe cut this year, or I go for something a little more daring. So to celebrate the cooler weather where you’re able to try out a new hair style I thought I’d share a moodboard of gorgeous hairstyles this season along side my favourite hair care items for winter – everything from daily care, styling and of course a few beautiful accessories to add to your new do. I’d love to hear if you have any plans for a new do’ this season. x

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you’re all having a lovely start to the week. I’m terribly honoured to share this stunning confetti shoot that my amazing friend Ellie from Jel Photo captured a little while ago – the second she sent it through Pharrell William’s song “Happy” got instantly stuck in my head, because really who’s mood isn’t improved with bright confetti! You simply must take a peek at the rest of this stunning shoot by Jel Photo, every photo is more beautiful than the next – plus how cute is their kitten! And of course if you’re newly engaged, an engagement shoot like this would be such a perfect way to get used to having your photo taken before your wedding. x

Walk-in-closet1

Walkincloset It’s absolutely no secret that I adore Nina from Stylizimo’s impeccable style – everything that she touches turns to organised chic bliss and her beautiful new walk is closet has quickly become some of the most pinned images and of course the envy of every single woman in the world who dreams of a closet like this! My hubby and I have been staring at our annoyingly small closet for years now trying to work out how to make the best use of the sliver of space that we’ve been given, we still haven’t worked out the best option that doesn’t cost the earth! But now after seeing Nina’s absolutely beautiful walk in closet, we are now very very tempted to turn one of our spare bedrooms into a blissful organised space like this – with of course a gorgeous wall hung high heel shoe rack! x

6 Before we bought our home (please excuse the terribly out of date photos!) in 2011, Ben and I lived in the cutest (but coldest) little apartment in the city – we had such a fantastic time living right in the middle of Ponsonby and being able to wander to shops, cafes and restaurants whenever we wanted, plus having all our friends live close by was so wonderful. We absolutely adore our home and we’re so proud of what we’ve done to it, but we still talk about the ‘ease’ of living in an apartment sometimes – which quickly turns into dreaming about said apartment having to be in either New York, Paris or Sydney. I stumbled upon this beautiful Stockholm apartment via Coco Lapine Design a while ago and have been completely smitten with it – I adore the light and how simple and tidy everything with soft touches of gold, white and navy. It really does show that you don’t need a lot of space to have a beautiful home. x

This morning I finally made it to one of Auckland’s newest and easily most beautiful homewares stores, Indie Home Collective – friends of mine have been telling me that I have to go, and go with lots of time to admire everything, and my gosh they were right. The second that you walk into lifestyle and interior stylist Claudia Kozub and partner Neel Giri’s stunning Newmarket shop you’re instantly taken back by the stunning gallery-like-setting with beautiful white washed concrete floors which are the perfect backdrop to Claudia’s carefully curated collection of vintage furniture, international brands such as Pony Rider, Fog Linen and The Sent Of Home & Ay Illuminate sit alongside beautiful customised pieces designed by Claudia herself. The whole space is an absolute feast for the eyes and everywhere you turn you’ll find something new and more beautiful than the piece you were just admiring – I’m not exaggerating at all when I say that I could have easily bought everything there, it’s just that beautiful! Also nestled inside the store is The Indie Flower Shop, a beautiful area full of fresh flowers for yourself or of course for a wedding or special event.

As Claudia’s says’, “We’ve created a visually stunning space that is filled with furniture, homewares, jewellery, candles, lighting, fresh market flowers and more. It’s a place where you can come and set your whole living space, pop in to buy a gift, pick up your weekly bunch of flowers, or just come in and enjoy looking at all the beautiful things. It will constantly evolve.”

Indie Home Collective really should be on the very top of everyones shopping wish list, especially with Christmas just around the corner, I’ve no doubt that you’ll be able to find one or more beautiful items for someone very special – or of course yourself! Also be sure to take a peek at this lovely interview that Michelle from The Design Chaser had with Claudia just as her shop stunning new shop opened. x
