There really is something magical about a simple, yet elegant dessert table. I love how it’s not overly cluttered and that the cakes, flowers and gorgeous props are able to shine through – plus the colour palette is perfect! Beautifully styled by the very talented Leanne from Sweet Style, this really is such a lovely dessert table. x

What-to-a-Wear-Glam-Hens-Night

Goodness me, is anyone else finding that this week is zooming by just a little too quickly? I’ve been wonderfully busy baking lots of delicious wedding cakes for a gorgeous mid week wedding, honestly the most lovely job ever! I mentioned in my post the other day that I was asked to be a bridesmaid over the weekend at our friends wedding this year (insert lots of exciting squeals!!!) I only just realised too that it also means planning a wonderful hens night for the lovely bride to be! I can’t think of anything more perfect than this gorgeous collection of What to Wear, by The Big Day to celebrate a very glam night out with a very beautiful bride to be! x

Lovely-Wedding-PostOh my goodness, I’m beyond proud and so honoured to be able to share some very exciting news with you. A while ago the incredibly lovely Loni from the beautiful Adore Home and Lovely Wedding Magazine, asked me to do a little interview and select a few gorgeous products for a ‘must have’ gift registry. It’s such an honour to be featured in such a beautiful magazine along side so many talented people – you may want to curl up somewhere comfy for a while to read through the latest issue of Lovely Wedding Magazine it’s far too beautiful for words! xo

p.s. flick to page 40-41 of the Autumn issue to see my interview with Loni. x

Happy Friday everyone and welcome to March – gosh this year is going fast!! I hope that everyone has had the most amazing week so far, I’ve been making lots of yummy wedding cakes and planning a few more lovely things for the blog over the coming months – I can’t wait to share it all with you! How cute is this weeks weekly roundup by Toodles Toodles, polka dots and chevron really do make a gorgeous pattern combo – I’m a little in love with the pom pom photo booth and the chevron pinwheels, they’re beyond perfect! Have a lovely weekend everyone! xoxo

Holy smokes who can believe today is the first day of March! How this year has been flying by…

We have been go go go this week with the NZ Gift Fair starting this Sunday! Tonight we collected all the lovely items from On My Hand who have helped style this big event – including a special hand painted sign! We are collecting the rest of our new products from our amazingly talented screen printers tomorrow (nothing like a bit of a deadline to get the heart rate up), making some final amendments to our product booklets just in time to print and of course remembering to breath!

But enough about us – wedding season is in full bloom so this week we dedicated the weekly roundup to some fun finds for some colourful wedding accessories!

1. This something blue is handmade in France by Julie Duchesne and is available through her Etsy store.

2. Looking for some fun accessories to hand out to your guests? How about some chevron pinwheels!

3. How fantastic is this wedding styled by Heima Store and Heim Interiors - loving all the colours and patterns!

4. These cosmetic bags make the perfect bridesmaid gift.

5. Who doesn’t love a yellow chevron table runner – hello happiness!

6. Wanting that extra something at your reception? Try some chevron straws with heart accents – just perfectly over the top cute.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and keep on the lookout for our free March wallpaper designs coming soon! Also, if you live in the Auckland area and are attending the Gift Fair we would love to put a face to the name so come by and say hello!

wkly-roundup-Feb15Happy Friday everyone, whoa what an incredible week it’s been?! Again thank you so much to everyone for entering, sharing and supporting my little (well huge) giveaway for reaching 4000 Facebook likes – you are all beyond incredible and I can’t thank you enough!! How gorgeous is this weeks weekly roundup from Toodles Noodles, I can’t decide what I love more, the hanging pot plants, desk or the oh so cute chopping board – what’s your favourite? I hope that have a truly wonderful weekend and were spoilt rotten yesterday for Valentines Day! x

Hello everyone – did you have a lovely Valentine’s Day? Ours was a bit untraditional this year!  I personally had a training session with my amazing friend and trainer Charlotte then came home and cooked my Mr. a new recipe of prawn & noodle salad. That’s two nights in a row of cooking new dinners from recipes found in magazines – both needing a bit of tweaking – but once “personalised” – they will go up on the blog!

This weekend we will be at the grand opening of the Ponsoby Central Markets!  We’re super excited to get back into the specialty food market scene as we miss our lovely friends over at City Market in Wellington.  You can find us at Ponsonby at their new amazing markets:

February: 17th  and  24th
March:  3rd and 10th

We’ll be showing off some new designs not available yet online and the newest collections of the baking decorations as well! Fingers crossed for good weather and some familiar faces in the crowd!

This week’s roundup is mostly brought to you by some amazing Etsy talent:

1. I’m a big sucker when it comes to lemony desserts – and with baking a special birthday cake next week – I have my eye on this cheesecake!

2. Absolutely love these porcelain hanging plant holders.

3. This desk made out of oak and steel is just a dream!

4. These bracelets out of Lithuania just scream summer and make the perfect accessory.

5. Saw these personalised mugs earlier this week and fell in love! What a perfect wedding gift!

6. Speaking of wedding gifts – this cutting board is just lovely.

I hope you all have had a fantastic week and have fun weekend plans!  And if you do live in the Auckland area, I hope you do say hello on Sunday if you are in the Ponsonby area! x

342Oh my goodness, I honestly don’t have the words to say how thankful I am for the overwhelming response from the 4000 likes post yesterday – you really are the most amazing people in the whole world and you deserve so much more than the gifts that I can offer for you! Thank you all so very much!!

Aww, so with Valentines Day tomorrow is anyone else running around for a last minute and oh so cute gift idea for your loved one? Well if you haven’t already spotted them these gorgeous and incredibly perfect ‘you still make me blush’ DIY cards from Eat Drink Chic would be perfect (how cute is the image in the middle of the girls cheeks blushing!!) especially is pared with some yummy red velvet kisses! I have to admit after almost 8 years together, I still get butterflies and blush a little when I see my hubby, even if it’s just a text, I love it! I hope that tomorrow is full of love, and you’re able to tell the person that still makes you blush how much you love them! xo

adoreOh my, does everyone else agree that every Wednesday should be a public holiday, I hope that everyone had a wonderful day off yesterday with their friends and family – the weather was far too perfect for words! I’d like to introduce you Alice Stephenson, she is the very proud (and lucky) owner of this stunning apartment, I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw it in the latest issue of Adore - isn’t her home beyond amazing?! I’d love to decorate our home like this one day, it’s so colourful, cheerful and inviting! Alice styled her lovely new abode with the help of her sister-in-law Claudia Stephenson and was beautiful photographed by her good friend Hannah Blackmore - I love how there are so many wonderful pops of bright pinks, oranges, patterns and textures, it’s styling at it’s very best! You can read more about Alice’s beautiful apartment on page 130 in the latest issue of Adore! x

I’ve always found it a little strange that we celebrate the silly season in warmth and sunshine while the rest of the world is settling into the lovely rich colours and textures of fall and winter. I think if I was to re-do our wedding I would have opted for a fall wedding, there is just something so magical about this season and of course all the beautiful rich colours, delicious food and wine that you can comfortably enjoy. Oh my, I was completly floored when I stumbled across this beautiful Fall Collaboration on Roost blog for Once Wed, isn’t it just everything that you could ever want from a delicious fall wedding? x
