Claire & Paul, Hello May | Made From Scratch My goodness, I could hardly believe my eyes when I was asked by Hello May to share this gorgeous wedding from their current issue – which if you haven’t seen you must, it’s incredible! I think you’ll have to agree, this wedding really is so beautiful and full of love and life – plus, how sweet are the hand knitted throws for everyone to keep warm and the gorgeous jam favours, everything really is just so perfect! Below is the extract straight from the pages of Hello May’s current issue plus the most perfect playlist for wedding photos – I hope you enjoy this as much as I do, because I absolutely adore it! x

From the second photographer Tim Coulson walked through Claire’s door on her wedding day he knew this was going to be an event like no other!

“Claire handed me a CD and told me this is what she wanted played in my car, while we drove from location to location during the portraits.” For all you folks at home, here’s the playlist.

1. This is how we do it – Montell Jordan

2. No diggity – Blackstreet

3. Shoop – Salt-N-Pepa

4. Beautiful – Snoop Dog feat. Pharrell

5. Trick me – Kelis

6. Return of the Mack – Mark Morrisson

7. Hey Mr. D.J. – Zhané

8. Get busy – Sean Paul

9. One thing – Amerie

10. You can do it – Ms. Toi and Ice Cube 11. Holiday – Naughty By Nature

12. Too close – Next

13. Touch it – Monifah

14. No scrubs – TLC

Claire’s awesome playlist, aptly titled ‘Gangsta Cruisin’ set the tone for the good times and great memories that followed, not to mention loosened them all up a bit in front of the camera.

Massage therapist and yoga teacher, Claire, met Australian Defence Force member, Paul, almost four years ago and bonded over, among other things, a love of food. So of course, when it came to planning their wedding day, tasty treats were at the top of the menu must-haves. “We wanted something that reflected us as a couple, something simple, relaxed and intimate, like a Sunday family dinner – all of our nearest and dearest together having a laugh and sharing stories.” Podfood at Pialligo Plant Farm proved to be the perfect location for this feat to go down!

Look closely at the photos and you’ll find some fabulous handmade details have been worked into Claire and Paul’s wedding day. Claire’s mum made her gorgeous wedding dress, while Paul’s mum knitted some lovely wool shawls for the guests in case the evening got chilly. Homemade jams were made as wedding favours with tags by An April Idea (who also did the invitations) and the floral centrepieces were artfully arranged in recycled egg cartons!

But the icing on the cake? When Claire announced during her speech that they were going to have a baby! Talk about ending the evening on a high note…

Happy Friday everyone, I am beyond excited to share with you part one of what myself and a group of very talented ladies and gents worked on a few weeks ago! We had the absolute privilege and honour of styling and shooting a mock wedding out at the ridiculously beautiful Abbeville Estate - by far the most wonderful location for any wedding or event. The ‘bride’ wore two amazing dresses from Rue de Seine her hair and make up was beautiful styled by the wonderfully talented Kaitlin Chapman and our very dapper ‘groom’ was dressed by the ever stylish Crane Brothers! The oh so stunning flowers were by Blush Flowers, the sweetest invites ever were designed by the wonderfully talented Lucy Olive Designs and the stunning photos were captured by Poppy Moss - phew and that’s only part one! I will never be able to thank everyone enough for all their help with this shoot, it was beyond beautiful – enjoy part one, there are two more delicious posts to come. xo

Ah well so much for the warm summer days I was talking about yesterday, the weather is now back to grey, rainy and gloomy! On a brighter note, how incredible is this Pop Art inspired wedding, it would be so much fun to attend a wedding like this plus how sweet is the cartoon of the bride and groom. You can see more of this amazing wedding here

When Ben and I got engaged while traveling we were tempted to elope and arrive home married, but the lure of celebrating our special day with our family and friends was just too much. I love this Preppy Shotgun Wedding, it would be perfect for those who still love the idea of a quick but ‘normal’ wedding. I’d love to know what your original ideas were when planning your wedding and how much it changed for the big day. You can see more of this wonderful wedding here

Nothing is more romantic than a pretty spring/summer wedding, I can’t help but be swept up in wedding fever this week as our first wedding anniversary is this Sunday {so scary how fast this year has gone!} I loved everything about our wedding but I think we were were to do it all over again we would almost defiantly have breakfast for dinner – how delicious would it be to have pancakes with fresh berries at a wedding, or any party!  To all of those lucky brides and grooms planning a wedding, I hope all your plans are ticking along nicely. xx

How is everyone’s week going so far, Ben and I are kind of patiently waiting for our kitchen bench to be installed, which means were hopefully not to far away from moving in to our home, finally. I have such a soft spot for cotton, it really is so beautifully delicate and would make for the most stunning wedding or party! I can’t get enough of the cotton bouquet’s and oh so sweet dessert table – everything is just so divine! x

There is something so sweet and easy about a wedding in the woods, I love the idea of everyone sitting around a picnic table with beautiful food that isn’t complicated and you and your lovely guests are able to relax and enjoy the day. Also how amazing are the wooden invites, such a beautiful idea. xx

For those who know me, I have a very vivid child’s like imagination I love anything to do with Disney, Princesses and I still believe in fairies, not in a weird way, more because I love that its just so simple and magical. I think that it would be a lovely theme to bring to a wedding or party as everything would be soft, delicate and oh so pretty! What do you think? I hope everyone has had a great week and has an even better weekend planned. xx
