Oh my, I am quite excited about today’s post – I’m in love with how bright and cheerful is it! I’m so very honoured to be featuring the beautiful Style Tail of Brisbane’s Eastern Suburbs featured in the impossible gorgeous new issue of Adore Home Magazine - where if you flick to page 70 you can read all about Leesa Curtain’s lovely morning of Christmas shopping at Espial, Coming up Roses and Green Grass! Each shop is just as wonderful as the next and fill to the brim of stunning gift ideas for that someone special (hehe or yourself) this Christmas! x

Since becoming a home owner last year, one thing that Ben and I have learnt pretty quickly is that along with all the hard work that goes into making a house a home – there also comes another side that you didn’t expect. Where you almost wish you were able to change the overall style of your house if the mood struck but without too many headaches. Now don’t get me wrong, I absolutely adore everything about our home, we are both naturally drawn to clean white surfaces with a shocking pop of color. But over the last few weeks, and it could just be because of winter, my eye has been caught more earthy, rustic and slightly rough around the edges style for home decor so much so that we have been dreaming of it for our ‘next’ house. I personally love the idea of exposed brick with lashings of color, it brings so much character and warmth to a room. I’d love to know how many different dream home styles you have. x

Hello everyone, its so lovely to be back from our little break away up north. We went to a very tiny fishing town called Tinopai, it is the perfect place to go and catch up on reading, sleeping, a spot of fishing and doing nothing really. It also gave me some time to think about what I want to do this year with the blog, I’ve some idea’s tucked away that I will hopefully be able show you through out the year.
One that I’m going to start right away is trying a new recipe every week, I’ve so many recipe books and food magazines so I thought I should put them to good use. So starting this week I will be trying something new and different to share with you all, no doubt some will probably fail and some will be a wild success… but isn’t that what cooking and baking is all about, pushing your limit and trying something new? I would love to know what you’ve been up to over the summer holidays, we haven’t been able to do nearly as much around the house as we’d hoped due the the terrible rain – but we were able to start a little corner garden! x

We’ve only been in our lovely new house for a couple nights now but it really does already feel like our home, I love how quickly it transformed from a chaotic messy building site into a calm, clean and wonderful place to sit and be amazed at what we’ve achieved in a year. I hope everyone has been having a lovely week so far, I really would love to hear what you’ve been up to. I hope your all ready for Ash’s delicious gluten free baking tomorrow, as always its oh so delicious. xx
Oh my what an insane four days we’ve had, I’m so terribly sorry for the lack of posts lately, but this is the first time I’ve turned my computer on since Thursday night… We have been flat out all day moving, cleaning, packing, unpacking {yep I have a whole draw just for baking!} and doing this around our amazing builders and tilers. I can’t wait to show you some better pictures, everything is unpacked and sparkly, but I want to show you our new home with some beautiful photos, not just taken from my iphone. Last night was our first night in our new home and it was as though a huge weight had been lifted from our shoulders. We realised that this is the first time in 2 1/2 years that we dont have to run around planning things, and its total bliss! We can’t wait for our house warming party this weekend and just to sit back and enjoy our beautiful new home. Thank you all so so much for your lovely comments and support this year, it means the world to us. xx
