Goodness me, is anyone else feeling like this year is just slipping by – how are we almost at the end of April, thats almost surreal! I’m so sorry for the lack of posts over the last few days, I’ve been playing catchup after finishing my last stunning wedding cake for the season last weekend. So since then I’ve been chatting to some very lovely people about future baking classes and of course planning a few lovely new things for Made From Scratch that I’m really excited to share with you once everything is settled – oh and how gorgeous is this afternoon setting by This is Glamours, how perfect would all your meetings be if they were like this?! I was also incredibly flattered to be featured on the wonderful Endemic World over the weekend – if you haven’t had a look at their art work, you must, you’ll want everything in a heart beat! I hope everyone has had a lovely start to the week – oh and don’t forget to enter the amazing LET LIV Kitchen Week giveaway, it’s being drawn tomorrow night! x

My oh my who can believe we’re onto our last day of November 2012! I can still remember last year as if it were yesterday… still living in Wellington, just printing our 2012 calendar, getting excited for my parents visit to New Zealand…oh how time flys!
With time flying so quickly it helps us realise how much we really do have to cherish the little moments and those special people around us. With that I came up with this week’s roundup – a simple but elegant collection of different gifts for the sisters / mothers / friends in your life! I personally sent off my mom and sister’s gifts in the post today (next time must think feather light pressies!) as tomorrow is the last day for internation air parcels to arrive on time! (a little hint hint for those waiting to purchase items x)
1. This week I discovered Shout and Sparkle from Brisbane, Australia and frankly would be over the moon to receive anything from their beautiful store!
2.What better way of saying hello to those close to you than a cheeky reminder in their wardrobe.
3. Have lots of gifts to buy this year? This lovely pamper package by Little Flower Soap Co is sure to bring a smile without breaking your wallet!
4. For a personal touch try a monogram mug available from Anthropologie.
5. These funky socks from J.Crew will surely brighten up your stocking stuffers!
6. Want to give something a bit more personal? Baking is a fantastic affordable way to show you care this season!
Have a great weekend everyone and see you in December (eek!) x

You know you live in Auckland when it has been freezing cold and snowing during the week and then hot and sunny on the weekend! We have had the most perfect Sunday pottering around the Takapuna markets, wandering up and down the beach and then catching up with friends over tea, hot chocolate and french pastries. Total bliss! I have to thank everyone for all their lovely comments about Made From Scratch’s 1st Birthday, so sweet of you! I hope everyone has had a truly wonderful weekend, xx

Ben and I were lucky enough to travel around France a couple of years ago for around 2 months, it is the most beautiful country to travel around and yes Paris will always be one of my favourite cities in the whole world. Its a dream of ours to get back to France one day and enjoy their love of food, fashion, and life. xx

You might have worked out by now that I have a slight obsession with white complimented with bright colours, I find it so clean and refreshing. Ben and I are now getting into the nitty gritty of house stuff, we only have a few weeks left until we get the keys and then the fun stuff of getting a new kitchen and re painting everything will begin. We are both so excited and can’t wait to see how everything will turn out, hopefully it wont be to overwhelming with all the white. xx
