It’s not very often, actually it’s incredibly rare, that I don’t post images the full width of my blog – I simply had to bend the rules for this beautiful Bohemian Southern California Wedding that I stumbled upon via 100 Layer Cake the other day, it’s far too stunning not to share. You might remember seeing the brides absolutely gorgeous Martha Webb dress a while ago in this Organic + Sustainable Wedding, there really is something so magical about a colourful wedding dress and the detail on the bodice and orange train on this is beyond breathtaking! There are so many amazing details about this wedding that are absolutely to die for – the venue is like a dream, the simple table settings with handpicked garden flowers and mismatched vintage plates is gorgeous, the rustic dessert table and heart back drop is so perfect and of course the crepe wedding cake looks too far good to eat. I couldn’t imagine anything more wonderful than attending a beautiful wedding like this, be sure to take a peek at 100 Layer Cake to see more of this stunning wedding. Oh, and Happy Friday everyone I hope you have a lovely weekend! x

Oh wow, how is it already Friday? Not that I’m complaining that the weekend is here again, but gosh this week has gone fast, I hope that everyone has had a really lovely week and has something wonderful planned for the weekend. I’m so very excited to share one of the most gorgeous new shops that has just opened in Mount Maunganui, the very lovely and oh so chic Paper Plane Store! If you’re lucky enough to call Mount Maunganui home you simply must take a peek at Krista and Timothy’s gorgeous store, for anyone out of town either road trip there immediately or of course take a peek at their online store! Their style and carefully curated items are just to die for and so many of them have already been added to my endless wish list – especially the stunning is the sidekick high stool and oh so cute dog collar, they’re so perfect! Krista and Timothy also recently sat down for a interview with the lovely The Design Chaser to chat about their gorgeous new store, be sure to take a peek, it’s a wonderful insight into their beautiful new business. x
Happy Friday everyone, I hope you all had a really lovely week. I’ve had a wonderful week full of catching up with lots of lovely people, tidying up my workspace with Gem, admiring the cutest video ever from my ruffle cake workshop at Studio 46 and of course dreaming up new ideas for our home on pinterest.
One thing that has been on our never ending to do list for a while now is our bathroom, it’s not in a terrible shape but it certainly does need a little love. But of course with all renovations they’re never as simple as they appear, for us to renovate the bathroom we’d also have to redo the laundry so that all the shiny new plumbing we had installed when our kitchen was renovated would work together – hehe, it’s probably why our bathroom still on the to do list! In saying that though, you don’t have to completely renovate when a few gorgeous new pieces and some lovely storage items really can transform any space – I’m very very smitten with the oak mirror, canisters and sky planter, they’re too perfect for words! I hope you all have a wonderfully relaxing and cozy weekend planned, I’d love to hear what you’re thinking of doing around your home. x
Aw, some things really are far too beautiful not to share – and this gorgeous assortment of flowers by Naked Bouquet is one of those things! I’m a little in love with Kiana’s stunning collection of beakers, cylinders and flasks, they really do make the most perfect vases and would be absolutely stunning for any wedding table decor or simply just having around your home – plus how lovely is her chalkboard of flowers to show what was used? Be sure to take a peek at her beautiful blog, it’s beyond gorgeous!
Oh and I’m beyond proud and excited to finally be able to share with you that there is a Made From Scratch recipe card is in this months gorgeous Sample Bar pack. If you haven’t heard of Sample Bar, each month they send out a gorgeous collection of luxury products to try, all of which are a complete surprise – it really is too lovely for words! x

From the second photographer Tim Coulson walked through Claire’s door on her wedding day he knew this was going to be an event like no other!
“Claire handed me a CD and told me this is what she wanted played in my car, while we drove from location to location during the portraits.” For all you folks at home, here’s the playlist.
1. This is how we do it – Montell Jordan
2. No diggity – Blackstreet
3. Shoop – Salt-N-Pepa
4. Beautiful – Snoop Dog feat. Pharrell
5. Trick me – Kelis
6. Return of the Mack – Mark Morrisson
7. Hey Mr. D.J. – Zhané
8. Get busy – Sean Paul
9. One thing – Amerie
10. You can do it – Ms. Toi and Ice Cube 11. Holiday – Naughty By Nature
12. Too close – Next
13. Touch it – Monifah
14. No scrubs – TLC
Claire’s awesome playlist, aptly titled ‘Gangsta Cruisin’ set the tone for the good times and great memories that followed, not to mention loosened them all up a bit in front of the camera.
Massage therapist and yoga teacher, Claire, met Australian Defence Force member, Paul, almost four years ago and bonded over, among other things, a love of food. So of course, when it came to planning their wedding day, tasty treats were at the top of the menu must-haves. “We wanted something that reflected us as a couple, something simple, relaxed and intimate, like a Sunday family dinner – all of our nearest and dearest together having a laugh and sharing stories.” Podfood at Pialligo Plant Farm proved to be the perfect location for this feat to go down!
Look closely at the photos and you’ll find some fabulous handmade details have been worked into Claire and Paul’s wedding day. Claire’s mum made her gorgeous wedding dress, while Paul’s mum knitted some lovely wool shawls for the guests in case the evening got chilly. Homemade jams were made as wedding favours with tags by An April Idea (who also did the invitations) and the floral centrepieces were artfully arranged in recycled egg cartons!
But the icing on the cake? When Claire announced during her speech that they were going to have a baby! Talk about ending the evening on a high note…
