Happy Friday everyone, and what an absolutely stunning Friday it is! I’m so so exciting about the upcoming Summer holidays, Ben is less than two weeks away from his MBA which means for the first time in two years we’re going to be able to enjoy summer, go to the beach and catch up with our friends and travel a little – we can’t wait! So I thought in celebration of the beautiful weather that we’ve been having lately (and will hopefully have all summer) I thought I would do a little roundup of a few of my summer essentials, I’ve shared a little peek of my favourites on Instagram here. There really is nothing more wonderful than a good book, large cozy beach towel, chic sunglasses, pretty nail polish, a beautiful new bikini, bright jewellery, suncream (I’ve become completely obsessed with Nivea’s new light feel suncream, I’m so fair that I have to wear suncream all the time and their range is fantastic!) and of course a breathtakingly beautiful spot on a beach with your friends to help create the perfect summer! I hope everyone has something wonderful planned for the weekend, I’m off to the beach with my hubby! x

Happy Friday everyone one, I hope you’ve all had a lovely week so far and have tucked yourself up somewhere safe away from this awful gusty wind that Auckland has been dealing with for the past few days! I have a deep love for incredibly crisp white interiors, our kitchen is a prime example as it’s all white. Although there really is something so romantic and charming about a beautiful rustic kitchen with heavy industrial furniture and fittings from LET LIV and of course decorated with some beautiful pieces - I’ve absolutely no doubt that if we ever renovated again we would have a lot more wood and earthy textures in our home.
Which is why I thought I would do a beautiful mood board of industrial kitchen pieces after seeing this pin on Pinterest, plus I’ve been swooning over the beautiful new range of kitchenware at Anthropologie has in stock at the moment! Their products are as stunning as always and I was so excited to learn that they now ship to New Zealand – plus they have the most beautiful selection of books, perfect for decorating and of course gifts, I’ve a feeling that my credit card is going to get a little bit of a thrashing in the lead up to Christmas this year! I hope everyone has a truly wonderful weekend planned, I’m off to spend the weekend away with my gorgeous family as my wonderful Grandparents have come over from Australia to visit. x

One of the wonderful perks about working from home is the creative little space that you’re able to create for your self – and of course getting to style it just the way you like! I’m forever pinching myself that my passion became my job which allows me to work from home, it really is something I’m forever grateful for. I have to admit since working from home I’ve become a little obsessed with workspaces which you can see from my endless pins here - there is just something so wonderful about being able to create a space that works just for you and your needs, and the great part is that you’re able to change it around to suit your mood.
I stumbled upon the beautiful office above by Cecilie Slykke a while ago on Pinterest and quickly fell madly in love with it – it’s just so perfect and I could quite easily find my self working in this lovely space for hours on end! So of course I simply had to create a little wish list of items for my home office, because who doesn’t love gorgeous new items to help inspire them! I’d love to hear what your favourite item or items are. x

There really is something so incredibly magical about Spring, especially getting to enjoy the fleeting season of beautiful Cherry Blossoms. My gorgeous hubby, Kora and I spent a lazy Saturday morning wandering around the gorgeous Auckland Botanic Gardens - I love going to the gardens, they’re always so inspiring and you come home wanting to dig up your back yard asap and have flower beds everywhere! We fell madly in love with the absolutely stunning Spring Blossom Valley, there really are no words to describe just how magical it is seeing these blooms. If you’re looking for something to do on a lazy Spring day, I couldn’t recommend wandering around the Botanic Gardens enough, it really is the perfect start to any weekend. x
Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had a really wonderful weekend – ours was wonderfully lazy, we caught up with friends, brunched and finally bought a coffee table that I’ve had on my wish list forever! Relaxing and lazy weekends also mean that you get to catch up on your favourite blogs and of course Pinterest, one of my favourite blogs to catch up on is the always gorgeous A Merry Mishap - if you haven’t had a peek yet, you must, it’s so gorgeous and home to the most beautiful collection of inspiration and of course amazing DIY’s! This stunning DIY Concrete Diamond by A Merry Mishap is now on the very top of my DIY to-do list, it’s so stunning and can be painted any colour you like or of course left natural, click here for how to make your own diamond. x
We renovated and moved into our home almost two years ago (ah, I love looking back at this post, so much has changed around our home since then). So now I’m slowly working my way around each room at the moment to update the look that has been left since we moved in. It’s pretty safe to say I’ve become a little obsessed with bedroom decor and styling as it’s just so inviting and comforting – which you can of course see from all of my bedroom pins on Pinterest.
At the moment we have a very white bedroom, white walls, crisp white linen (which I love) and gorgeous bright pops of colour, you can see a sneak peek here. As much as I adore our room, I get restless easily so I’m wanting to update the look and feel of it with a delicious black and white Kip & Co duvet cover, some beautiful soft mint greens along with a touch of wood and metals – I couldn’t think of anything more perfect and would be such a difference to our room at the moment. All of the stunning items above have quickly been added to my never ending wish list from the gorgeous LET LIV – you simply must take a peek at their site, it’s too incredible for words! x
You may remember the very lovely Gem from Blackbird and I making a giant mess of my workspace a while ago. I’m so excited to show you a peek of the finished results of my bookshelf makeover, there really is something so therapeutic and wonderful about having a really good clean out of an area in your home that is a tad, well very, over cluttered and transform it into something clean and chic. Gem and I had such a fantastic afternoon chatting, listening to the brilliant The Great Gatsby soundtrack and rearranging part of my workspace, it’s amazing watching her work she’s seriously talented. I can’t wait to show you the rest of what we have planned around our home, but of course, if you’d like Gem to take a peek into your home and or wardrobe and help spruce it up, be sure to get in touch with her here. x
