It’s not very often re-share my recipes, but I just can’t help but share my carrot cake recipe again – it’s wonderfully simple to make and really is so perfect. I made this delicious cake almost two years ago for Easter and thought it would be perfect to whip up again this Easter – especially with the horrible weather we’re having at the moment, I think it’s the perfect time to potter in the kitchen and fill your home with the beautiful warm spices from this delicious cake. And of course top with generous amounts of the silkiest cream cheese icing and you’ll have a dessert that everyone will adore this weekend.
I hope that everyone has a truly wonderful long weekend planned with your beautiful friends and family. After some very exciting news yesterday about my hubbies new job offer, we’re off to celebrate with some amazing friends of ours, go to a beautiful house warming and of course eat a silly amount of chocolate. Have a lovely long weekend everyone, I’ll see you again on Tuesday. Happy Easter everyone. xo

One of my all time favourite sweets when I was younger was coconut ice – not only is it incredibly pretty and reminds me of lazy afternoons baking with my Grandma, it’s also wonderfully simple to make and is always a crowd favourite. You may have noticed that there have been quite a few delicious Ice Cream posts on the blog lately, a few months ago I was approached by Tip Top Ice Cream to see if I would help promote their iconic ice cream over the summer months with a delicious new recipe each week. Of course I jumped at the chance and have had the absolute honour of creating a new recipe for you each week, I hope you’ve been enjoying them as much as I have as I really can’t think of anything more perfect than ice cream during summer. So this week I thought what could possibly be better than combining delicious strawberries and cream ice cream, either freeze dried or fresh strawberries with the most perfect coconut ice base – the end result is the most delicious, refreshing and pretty coconut ice slice you’ll ever try. Be sure to keep an eye out for next weeks recipe, I promise it will become a favourite this Christmas. x

You may remember a few weeks ago I whipped up a delicious batch of hokey pokey using Chelsea Sugar’s Golden Syrup limited edition tins which was beautiful designed by the very talented Greg Straight - since that post I’ve had so many comments and questions from you all about where to buy one and how much you all adore it. So I thought, what could be more perfect than to run a little giveaway involving not only a beautiful limited edition golden syrup tin, but also a signed print by Greg Straight (valued at $350NZ) of the artwork he used for the tin – it would make such a lovely Christmas gift for anyone who loves baking and design, or of course a perfect gift for your self. All you need to do to enter is fill in your details below and of course share, like and pin the above image. The lucky winner will be chosen and emailed on Tuesday the 12th of November – good luck everyone. x
This giveaway has now closed – thank you all so much for entering!
Happy Friday everyone one, I hope you’ve all had a lovely week so far and have tucked yourself up somewhere safe away from this awful gusty wind that Auckland has been dealing with for the past few days! I have a deep love for incredibly crisp white interiors, our kitchen is a prime example as it’s all white. Although there really is something so romantic and charming about a beautiful rustic kitchen with heavy industrial furniture and fittings from LET LIV and of course decorated with some beautiful pieces - I’ve absolutely no doubt that if we ever renovated again we would have a lot more wood and earthy textures in our home.
Which is why I thought I would do a beautiful mood board of industrial kitchen pieces after seeing this pin on Pinterest, plus I’ve been swooning over the beautiful new range of kitchenware at Anthropologie has in stock at the moment! Their products are as stunning as always and I was so excited to learn that they now ship to New Zealand – plus they have the most beautiful selection of books, perfect for decorating and of course gifts, I’ve a feeling that my credit card is going to get a little bit of a thrashing in the lead up to Christmas this year! I hope everyone has a truly wonderful weekend planned, I’m off to spend the weekend away with my gorgeous family as my wonderful Grandparents have come over from Australia to visit. x
