These lovely crisp Autumn day’s are the perfect time to hone your soup making skills before Winter arrives. I personally can’t think of anything better or more comforting than curling up with a warm bowl of home made soup, what’s better is the list of soups to make is endless. This pumpkin soup is a tweaked version of my Mum’s recipe, I adore this recipe as it is so easy and always tastes amazing.

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a wonderul weekend. Ours was so so nice, we took kora to puppy training which was a lot of fun and then had a very geeky day on Sunday. I can’t wait to show you some of the things we have been working on for Made From Scratch, I really hope you will like it. Autumn is also very much on its way, the days are getting shorter and a little colder. I rather like it, I’m one of those weird people that don’t really mind pottering inside, I couldn’t do it all the time but it is nice. I’ve also become a little obsessed with White Horse Home their prints and cushions are to die for! I would love to have a few scattered around our home, what do you think?
Also don’t forget to tag yourself in this photo on Facebook to go into the draw to win a $50 gift voucher for you to spend on any daily deal from Groupon, I will annouced the lucky winner tomorrow night. Good luck. x
I hope everyone had a lovely Valentines Day yesterday, I baked some heart shaped brownies and had a lovely lazy night in with Ben. For those of you who have followed Made From Scratch for a while, you’ll know that I love having people over for dinner. I also love the idea of always setting the dinner table properly before you eat, it has a magic ability to transform a simple meal into a special meal almost instantly. How beautiful is the table setting laid out by the lovely Nina from Stylizimo for a lunch guest she had recently, you would feel so special sitting down to something like this. x
I hope everyone had a lovely and relaxing long weekend, we didn’t really get up to much which was a perfect to spend three sunnyish days. I did go to an amazing nursery with my parents and started the wonderful task of collecting plants for our gardens to be. I can’t wait to show you what we have planned, hopefully it will work out how we want. We have also been talking about rearranging the bedrooms in our house {mostly to fit Ben’s piano into the house, that is still at his parents} but that leads the way to pretty new things and a clean out. I also came acrosse this breathtakingly simple wedding featured on Once Wed, it’s so soft and delicate and would be perfect for any season. What do you think? x
I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far, we’re still in holiday mode as we both don’t go back to work until next week so it’s lovely having that extra bit of time off! The wedding season is also in full swing in New Zealand, to all the beautiful brides and grooms to be, I hope your wedding planning is going well. Here are a few amazing wedding details from Grey Likes Wedding I love how simple each of these details are, they would be so easy to bring into your wedding some way. x
