Weekly Roundup 28th DecemberI adore the summer holidays, it’s the perfect time to relax, catch up with family and friends and of course take lots of afternoon naps after eating and drinking so much on Christmas Day! We had a lovely time away in Wellington, but it’s so so lovely to be back home and to potter around the house and garden while the weather is warm – hehe I’m kind of in love with our little veggie garden to be, I can’t wait to see how it grows over the summer months! I hope that everyone is having a wonderful break so far, I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to – but for now, enjoy this absolutely perfect summery Weekly Roundup from the wonderful Toodles Noodles. x

To all my readers in the southern hemisphere - Happy Summer everyone! As you may have read from my previous post – the weather here in Auckland has been a bit pants but as of tomorrow we’re supposed to experience sun for a whole week! I’m getting quite excited about the prospect of going to the beach, exploring waterfalls, going on walks – oh the possibilities!

Yesterday we went strawberry picking – my first time berry picking! I had such a blast even though it was a bit drizzly out and we left the fields with 4.2kg worth of delicious, ruby red strawberries! In hindsight that may have been a bit of overkill but we had a blast doing it and now have heaps of berries for our morning smoothies – win win!

So with all this excitement of summer I decided to make this weekly roundup a bright and colourful one! I hope you’re all having a great holiday!

1. Stunning single Marbella Hammock from Citta Design – want.

2. Beautiful packaging done by Curious Design for Phoenix Organic beverages – it just looks so refreshing!

3. I’ll take two margaritas please!

4. Protection from the sun is important down here – this stylish hat is available at Witchery.

5. You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream! This beautifully packaged organic ice cream picked up a silver award at the Best Awards this year.

6. You can’t beat a good beach towel – Country Road has a great range on sale now!

I sure do hope you are all enjoying some delicious sun and enjoying the holidays with those close to you! x

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend, we had a slow weekend of pottering around which is nice. I did come across this incredible modern rustic wedding, I love everything about it. It’s so homely, inviting and honestly nothing is better than having amazing food at your wedding! I would love to know what you got up to overt the weekend, you can see more of this gorgeous wedding here

Also don’t forget the Valentines Day is tomorrow, do you have something special planned?

I hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far, Ben and I took a little trip down to our friend Jolie’s family farm. It is the most wonderful place to get away to for a couple of days, do some baking, wander around the farm and spend time with the most welcoming and lovely family.

As I mentioned in this post at the start of the year, I want to try a new recipe every week and share it with you. I had never heard of or had a Cloud Cake, so Jolie and Diane insisted that we make it for dessert. It’s the easiest ‘cake’ recipe you’ll ever make and is the most deliciously light and refreshing dessert after an amazing home cooked meal. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, Ben and I are off to our good friends Anna and Evan’s wedding soon, we’re so excited to be apart of their special day. Have a lovely weekend. x

I hope everyone had the most incredible Christmas Day yesterday with their family, ours was wonderful with our adorable new puppy Kora and being able to spend some lovely time with our family. Ben and I hosted breakfast at our place for his family and I served this delicious Strawberry Brioche Bread & Butter Pudding for dessert, and thankfully there is still some left over – there is honestly nothing better then grazing at Christmas Day leftovers on Boxing Day. I would love to know how your Christmas Day was. x

Hold onto your sock ladies and get ready to swoon over this incredible pastel themed wedding photographed by the oh so talented Julie Lim, not sure about you but I love everything about this wedding. Funny enough I made this inspiration board before I found out that Ben and Lucy were getting married and planning a soft pastel-ish wedding… what do you think, personally I think a wedding or party themed like this would be simply perfect!

Gosh this week has gone fast, I feel like I haven’t had any time to do anything really apart from paint and look after sick kiddies that I nanny for. I’m just so glad that my arms haven’t fallen off yet from painting so much! I was looking through my wedding photos again yesterday taken by the insanely talented Coralee and Alex and remembered why I loved having a red theme running through our wedding. Its such a beautiful colour and you really can do so much with it, I adore the idea of the Red Velvet Cake in mason jars and fresh cherries as favors for your lovely guests. Whats your favourite? xx
