From the second photographer Tim Coulson walked through Claire’s door on her wedding day he knew this was going to be an event like no other!
“Claire handed me a CD and told me this is what she wanted played in my car, while we drove from location to location during the portraits.” For all you folks at home, here’s the playlist.
1. This is how we do it – Montell Jordan
2. No diggity – Blackstreet
3. Shoop – Salt-N-Pepa
4. Beautiful – Snoop Dog feat. Pharrell
5. Trick me – Kelis
6. Return of the Mack – Mark Morrisson
7. Hey Mr. D.J. – Zhané
8. Get busy – Sean Paul
9. One thing – Amerie
10. You can do it – Ms. Toi and Ice Cube 11. Holiday – Naughty By Nature
12. Too close – Next
13. Touch it – Monifah
14. No scrubs – TLC
Claire’s awesome playlist, aptly titled ‘Gangsta Cruisin’ set the tone for the good times and great memories that followed, not to mention loosened them all up a bit in front of the camera.
Massage therapist and yoga teacher, Claire, met Australian Defence Force member, Paul, almost four years ago and bonded over, among other things, a love of food. So of course, when it came to planning their wedding day, tasty treats were at the top of the menu must-haves. “We wanted something that reflected us as a couple, something simple, relaxed and intimate, like a Sunday family dinner – all of our nearest and dearest together having a laugh and sharing stories.” Podfood at Pialligo Plant Farm proved to be the perfect location for this feat to go down!
Look closely at the photos and you’ll find some fabulous handmade details have been worked into Claire and Paul’s wedding day. Claire’s mum made her gorgeous wedding dress, while Paul’s mum knitted some lovely wool shawls for the guests in case the evening got chilly. Homemade jams were made as wedding favours with tags by An April Idea (who also did the invitations) and the floral centrepieces were artfully arranged in recycled egg cartons!
But the icing on the cake? When Claire announced during her speech that they were going to have a baby! Talk about ending the evening on a high note…

Goodness me, could this incredibly gorgeous wedding featured on Smitten Mag be any more wonderful! Everything is just so pretty, relaxed and incredibly inviting – plus how cute is the sweet flower girl and the gorgeous pup and floral collar, I adore that even the paper goods had little puppy prints on them, it’s just so perfect! I could gush on forever about this lovely wedding, but I’m going to let the pictures tell the story – I’d love to hear what your favourite part of the day is. x

Aw, with Mother’s Day this weekend it’s the perfect time to organise something special for your incredible Mama! I’m a little in love with this incredibly elegant yet simple table setting styled by the lovely Caitlin Moran for Glitter Guide - the soft gold and green touches are perfection, as is the very sweet name tag with a sprig leaves from the flowers. This weekend really is the time to spoil our wonderful Mama’s for everything they’ve done for us, I’ll be sending all my love to mine as she’s lucky enough to be spending Mothers Day in New York – how wonderful is that! x

Goodness me, is anyone else feeling like this year is just slipping by – how are we almost at the end of April, thats almost surreal! I’m so sorry for the lack of posts over the last few days, I’ve been playing catchup after finishing my last stunning wedding cake for the season last weekend. So since then I’ve been chatting to some very lovely people about future baking classes and of course planning a few lovely new things for Made From Scratch that I’m really excited to share with you once everything is settled – oh and how gorgeous is this afternoon setting by This is Glamours, how perfect would all your meetings be if they were like this?! I was also incredibly flattered to be featured on the wonderful Endemic World over the weekend – if you haven’t had a look at their art work, you must, you’ll want everything in a heart beat! I hope everyone has had a lovely start to the week – oh and don’t forget to enter the amazing LET LIV Kitchen Week giveaway, it’s being drawn tomorrow night! x

So, you may have heard that I’ve the huge honour of being a bridesmaid at our wonderful friends wedding this winter – I’ve probably told you a million times, but I’m so excited! Today is a very exciting day as Emily (the beautiful bride to be), her mama and I are going to take a little peek at some of the gorgeous wedding gowns from Rue De Seine - if you haven’t been to see Michele yet, you must, even if you aren’t a bride to be, her shop is a dream come true! I’ve a sneaky feeling that there may be a few happy tears shed today! x
There really is something magical about a simple, yet elegant dessert table. I love how it’s not overly cluttered and that the cakes, flowers and gorgeous props are able to shine through – plus the colour palette is perfect! Beautifully styled by the very talented Leanne from Sweet Style, this really is such a lovely dessert table. x
