Happy Friday everyone, oh gosh I’m so thrilled that this week is over – it’s been one of those blink and you’ll miss it kind of weeks. I’m even more thrilled about it being Friday because my hubby and I are sneaking away for a lovely long weekend up north to Coopers Beach for a much needed break, I’ve never been before and I can’t wait – I’ll no doubt be sharing a few travel picks here and there on instagram. I’m also beyond thrilled to share this absolutely stunning event that Claire from One Lovely Day and Anita from Wildernest styled recently on Motuihe a few weeks ago. The whole event was styled around the most gorgeous tents, the cutest of caravans called Waggie, the most amazing food and of course a location to die for – this whole event and setting is beyond perfect and everything about this day really does have summer weddings, parties and festivals written all over it. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend planned, I’m off to the beach and will see you Monday…maybe Tuesday. xo

This morning I finally made it to one of Auckland’s newest and easily most beautiful homewares stores, Indie Home Collective – friends of mine have been telling me that I have to go, and go with lots of time to admire everything, and my gosh they were right. The second that you walk into lifestyle and interior stylist Claudia Kozub and partner Neel Giri’s stunning Newmarket shop you’re instantly taken back by the stunning gallery-like-setting with beautiful white washed concrete floors which are the perfect backdrop to Claudia’s carefully curated collection of vintage furniture, international brands such as Pony Rider, Fog Linen and The Sent Of Home & Ay Illuminate sit alongside beautiful customised pieces designed by Claudia herself. The whole space is an absolute feast for the eyes and everywhere you turn you’ll find something new and more beautiful than the piece you were just admiring – I’m not exaggerating at all when I say that I could have easily bought everything there, it’s just that beautiful! Also nestled inside the store is The Indie Flower Shop, a beautiful area full of fresh flowers for yourself or of course for a wedding or special event.

As Claudia’s says’, “We’ve created a visually stunning space that is filled with furniture, homewares, jewellery, candles, lighting, fresh market flowers and more. It’s a place where you can come and set your whole living space, pop in to buy a gift, pick up your weekly bunch of flowers, or just come in and enjoy looking at all the beautiful things. It will constantly evolve.”

Indie Home Collective really should be on the very top of everyones shopping wish list, especially with Christmas just around the corner, I’ve no doubt that you’ll be able to find one or more beautiful items for someone very special – or of course yourself! Also be sure to take a peek at this lovely interview that Michelle from The Design Chaser had with Claudia just as her shop stunning new shop opened. x

Summer really is right around the corner and that means ice cream weather – it quickly becomes a little tradition of ours to wander to the dairy (corner shop) and get a ice cream while we go for a evening stroll, it’s just such a lovely way to spend a evening! So I thought what could be more perfect than whipping up a quick ice cream treat for yourself or your friends when they come over for a lazy summer BBQ.

Whenever I make a batch of ginger thins I always freeze half of the mixture so that I can whip up a few cookies whenever the mood strikes, there is something so lovely about having a homemade cookie without having to do any prep work. I’m also yet to meet anyone who doesn’t have a tub of delicious Tip Top Hokey Pokey Ice Cream tucked safely away in their freezer – it’s an absolute kiwi icon and is such a crowd pleaser. So I thought what could be more perfect than combining delicious crispy ginger thins with smooth crunchy hokey pokey and making a a few ice cream sandwich – the end result is amazing and the best part is how wonderfully simple they are to whip up for any summer party. x

It’s not very often, actually it’s incredibly rare, that I don’t post images the full width of my blog – I simply had to bend the rules for this beautiful Bohemian Southern California Wedding that I stumbled upon via 100 Layer Cake the other day, it’s far too stunning not to share. You might remember seeing the brides absolutely gorgeous Martha Webb dress a while ago in this Organic + Sustainable Wedding, there really is something so magical about a colourful wedding dress and the detail on the bodice and orange train on this is beyond breathtaking! There are so many amazing details about this wedding that are absolutely to die for – the venue is like a dream, the simple table settings with handpicked garden flowers and mismatched vintage plates is gorgeous, the rustic dessert table and heart back drop is so perfect and of course the crepe wedding cake looks too far good to eat. I couldn’t imagine anything more wonderful than attending a beautiful wedding like this, be sure to take a peek at 100 Layer Cake to see more of this stunning wedding. Oh, and Happy Friday everyone I hope you have a lovely weekend! x

Happy Friday everyone one, I hope you’ve all had a lovely week so far and have tucked yourself up somewhere safe away from this awful gusty wind that Auckland has been dealing with for the past few days! I have a deep love for incredibly crisp white interiors, our kitchen is a prime example as it’s all white. Although there really is something so romantic and charming about a beautiful rustic kitchen with heavy industrial furniture and fittings from LET LIV and of course decorated with some beautiful pieces - I’ve absolutely no doubt that if we ever renovated again we would have a lot more wood and earthy textures in our home.

Which is why I thought I would do a beautiful mood board of industrial kitchen pieces after seeing this pin on Pinterest, plus I’ve been swooning over the beautiful new range of kitchenware at Anthropologie has in stock at the moment! Their products are as stunning as always and I was so excited to learn that they now ship to New Zealand – plus they have the most beautiful selection of books, perfect for decorating and of course gifts, I’ve a feeling that my credit card is going to get a little bit of a thrashing in the lead up to Christmas this year! I hope everyone has a truly wonderful weekend planned, I’m off to spend the weekend away with my gorgeous family as my wonderful Grandparents have come over from Australia to visit. x

14 Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had a really lovely weekend! You’ve no doubt guessed from all of my photos of flowers that I’ve become a little obsessed with gardens lately – they’re just so pretty, and of course incredibly rewarding when learning how to become a green thumb pays off and your garden grows some beautiful blooms! To say that I’m completely head over heals in love with this stunning secret garden wedding by Feather and Stone is a little bit of an understatement – everything is beyond perfect and it really does  look like something straight out of a Jane Austin novel or of course The Secret Garden it’s self! I’ve no doubt that if we were able to go back in time and re-do our wedding I’d have a garden wedding, it’s just so magical! You can of course see more of this absolutely beautiful wedding by Feather and Stone here. x

Today I had the absolute honour of delivering this gorgeous Chocolate and Vanilla Ombre Pallet Layer Cake to one of the loveliest ladies I’ve ever met for her birthday party this evening. Before we get to the cake, I simply must to tell you about the absolutely stunning mirrored cake stand I had the honour working with – it’s been in Tyler’s family for over 50 years and was even used by her Grandfather for his 21st and is now being used for hers, how gorgeous and lovely is that! I was so excited to make this ombre pallet cake for her, it’s such a gorgeous technique and looks amazing with the dusty pink peachy icing – which of course looks so lovely atop her family’s beautiful heirloom cake stand! Happy Birthday Tyler, I hope you’ve had a fantastic birthday! x

To say that I’m beyond honoured and so excited to share Emily and Savages (his real name is Andrew, but I only know him as Savage!) beautiful winter wedding is a huge understatement – they are two of our very best friends and it was such an honour to not only be a  bridesmaid at their wedding but helping organise, it was easily the biggest highlight of my year!

Savage proposed to Emily on her birthday in February, so so gorgeous, and they decided that they wanted to get married as soon as possible – so their winter wedding date was chosen and with less than five months to the big day the planning and organising began. I’ve never ever seen a more organised or hands on bride to be as Emily, all of the beautiful details and candle favours that you see in the gorgeous photos above by Jill Andrews were lovingly hand made by Emily and her family and friends, every single beautiful detail was thought about – right down to the length of the lace  on her stunning Rue de Seine Wedding Dress.

Their perfect winter wedding was held at the stunning Ataahua Garden Venue in Tauranga on the most beautiful winters day – if you’re looking for venues in Tauranga, be sure to take a peek at Ataahua, it’s incredible! I simply don’t have the words to express just how magical their wedding was, Emily was breathtakingly gorgeous and so happy, Savage was incredibly dapper and proud, the bridesmaids and groomsmen looked as lovely and handsome as ever, the winter table decor was stunning, the food was delicious and of course having the honour of celebrating the night away with some of the most incredible people you’ll ever meet who all brought so much love, laughter and a few very happy tears to the day was too perfect for words! To everyone who was a part of their wedding, thank you all so very much, I know Emily and Savage will be forever grateful! Congratulations to the most incredible couple I know. x
