romanticflorals floral-explosion-

Autumn may well and truly be here, but that doesn’t mean at all that you can’t add a little spring to your step! From beautiful bold or delicate fresh flowers around your home, amazing wedding bouquets, stunning floral wall art (tiny bit obsessed with the wallpaper in the above image, I think a floral wall would look amazing in my office!) to of course adding a little floral explosion to your outfit – autumn really is the perfect season to add this stunning floral trend to your wardrobe or home! I’d love to know which of the above items are your favourite, I’m completely smitten with #2, the floral midi skirt – it would look amazing dressed down with a simple tee and sandals and even better dressed up in heels for a night out!

Oh, and be sure to take a peek at a little peek into my daily life on instagram – I’m currently sharing a little bit of what I do each day as part of the #dailylifein5 project! It’s really lovely, so be sure to take a peek! I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far, I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to/have planned, happy hump day everyone! x

Pastel-Blooms-Moodboard Happy Friday everyone, I hope you all had a lovely week! The incredibly sweet ProFlowers asked me to put together a little mood board of my favourite floral trend at the moment – I can’t remember the last time I made mood board (they’re so pretty and so much fun, I think I’m going to have to get back into the habit!) and I’m having a little crush on pastels at the moment. So I thought a beautiful pastel mood board was the perfect way to celebrate the end of a lovely week, plus Im yet to meet anyone who doesn’t have soft spot for a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I hope you all have a truly magical weekend planned, I’m off to buy a pretty selection of flowers for our home. x

It’s not very often, actually it’s incredibly rare, that I don’t post images the full width of my blog – I simply had to bend the rules for this beautiful Bohemian Southern California Wedding that I stumbled upon via 100 Layer Cake the other day, it’s far too stunning not to share. You might remember seeing the brides absolutely gorgeous Martha Webb dress a while ago in this Organic + Sustainable Wedding, there really is something so magical about a colourful wedding dress and the detail on the bodice and orange train on this is beyond breathtaking! There are so many amazing details about this wedding that are absolutely to die for – the venue is like a dream, the simple table settings with handpicked garden flowers and mismatched vintage plates is gorgeous, the rustic dessert table and heart back drop is so perfect and of course the crepe wedding cake looks too far good to eat. I couldn’t imagine anything more wonderful than attending a beautiful wedding like this, be sure to take a peek at 100 Layer Cake to see more of this stunning wedding. Oh, and Happy Friday everyone I hope you have a lovely weekend! x

3 Years

1 3 amazing years ago surrounded by our friends and family I married the absolute love of my life. I’ll forever find it impossible to be able to tell Ben just how much I love and admire him – for those who know us personally will know that the last three years have had the highest of highs for us and with any marriage the lowest of lows. But throughout all the good and the bad times, I couldn’t think of anyone more supportive, hilariously funny, impossibly kind and just all around amazing to spend my life with. He’s my best friend and I couldn’t be more honoured to call him my husband – I really am the luckiest girl in the world and I can’t wait to see what the years ahead bring us. x

Portuguese Garden Wedding

While Ben and I were traveling around Spain in 2009 we stumbled upon this absolutely amazing restaurant/venue hidden away in the back streets of Seville. The second we walked in we immediately decided that if money was no option we would have held our wedding there, the food, music and atmosphere was beyond amazing! The second I saw this stunning garden wedding held in Lisbon on De Alma e Coração‘s incredible blog it quickly brought back all the memories of that beautiful venue in Spain as this was one of our how we originally dreamed our wedding may have looked – we still served the most amazing paella though! The rustic table settings, vintage tins used for cutlery and of course beautiful but incredible simple flowers used at this stunning wedding really does invite you to sit down all night and celebrate with your closest friends and family!

Savage Almost three years ago I made one of the best decisions of my life, marrying Ben – the second was asking our amazing friend Andrew Savage if he would kindly consider becoming a celebrant to perform our ceremony for us. He of course said yes and we had the most perfect wedding ceremony we could ever ask for! Not only is he incredibly professional, he’s beyond kind and will work along side you to create your perfect ceremony, since our wedding Savage has been performing ceremonies all over New Zealand for friends and other lovely couples, and of course recently said I do to the love of his life! For all the gorgeous brides-to-be and dapper grooms, if you’re after a marriage celebrant to help make your special day amazing, be sure to get in touch with Savage over at his new website and Facebook page I promise you wont regret it.
