1 There are emails that truly make your day, as they tend to contain something so beautiful that stops you in your tracks and makes you smile! This wedding was apart of one of those emails I received this week and it completely brightened my day. I’m so honoured to share Mark and Stacey’s beautiful garden wedding today, the colours, pops of bright gingham, venue, flowers and table settings are so beautiful and make for such a relaxed, happy and love filled vibe! Plus I’m completely smitten with the stunning stationery and tea towel invites, which were lovingly designed by Stacy herself, how lovely and perfect is that! This truly is such a perfect wedding, but of course you can see that from the gorgeous photos yourself! x

Sunday-Start-Times-Dessert-Table-Roundup

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I’m so excited and honoured to share a piece of news that I’ve had to keep quite for a little while – the incredibly kind and generous Sunday Star Times featured my cakes and a little dessert table round up on the weekend as part of their beautiful DIY wedding edition. If you didn’t see it, you can see a little peek here. I have to thank the incredibly lovely and hugely talented Coralee Estelle for taking the beautiful photos and Mel from All the Frills for styling this stunning shoot, they’re honestly my dream team! xo

tablemakers_0029 My goodness, thank you all so so much for the incredibly lovely birthday wishes yesterday – I truly do have the most amazing friends, family and of course readers any girl could ever want, plus I do love that each year my gorgeous hubby takes over Made From Scratch to write me the sweetest birthday post! So thank you all so much for making my day so special!

I also simply have to share this incredibly, and absolutely delicious, Valentines Day Brunch (I know that the day has passed, but it’s far too beautiful not to share!) that the hugely talented Lauren Kelp styled. It’s so stunning that I don’t think it should be reserved only for Valentines Day, I think any celebration calls for a brunch like this where fluffy pancakes with fresh fruit are generously served and champagne flows freely! What do you think? x

16 There are very few places in the world that are as whimsical and completely breathtaking as the scenery in Provence, France. We had the absolute pleasure of traveling through this beautiful country side way back in 2009 and I would love to get back there one day, just to sit and admire the beauty with a delicious cheese and wine picnic with gorgeous friends. For now though I’m quite thankful that the very talented and lovely Feather & Stone recently visited this beautiful part of the world and photographed the most stunning wedding shoot – it’s beyond magical and everything you would hope a wedding hosted in Provence would be, simple, elegant, rustic, surrounded by raw untouched nature and of course absolutely perfect. You simply must take a peek and admire the rest of Feather & Stone’s beautiful Provence Inspiration Wedding, you’ll want to pack your bags and fly to France straight away. x

Happy Friday everyone, oh gosh I’m so thrilled that this week is over – it’s been one of those blink and you’ll miss it kind of weeks. I’m even more thrilled about it being Friday because my hubby and I are sneaking away for a lovely long weekend up north to Coopers Beach for a much needed break, I’ve never been before and I can’t wait – I’ll no doubt be sharing a few travel picks here and there on instagram. I’m also beyond thrilled to share this absolutely stunning event that Claire from One Lovely Day and Anita from Wildernest styled recently on Motuihe a few weeks ago. The whole event was styled around the most gorgeous tents, the cutest of caravans called Waggie, the most amazing food and of course a location to die for – this whole event and setting is beyond perfect and everything about this day really does have summer weddings, parties and festivals written all over it. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend planned, I’m off to the beach and will see you Monday…maybe Tuesday. xo

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had a lovely weekend. We had the most wonderful weekend celebrating the end of Ben’s MBA with all our friends and family – it was the perfect way to end a very busy year, thank you so so much to everyone for your well wishes and of course those who celebrated with us, it really was a fantastic weekend!

You may have noticed lately that I’ve become a little obsessed with strawberries – in my mind they’re the king of summer berries, they’re just so delicious and of course can be made into everything from tarts, puddings and various ice cream treats. I’ve been wanting to whip up a batch of strawberry jam for a while now so last week on a rainy summers afternoon I made the most perfect batch of strawberry and vanilla jam. If you’ve never made jam before wonderfully easy, you can experiment with different flavours of fruit low in pectin that you like and of course an afternoon of jam making will leave your home smelling absolutely stunning, plus a few delicious jars of homemade strawberry jam would make such a lovely Christmas gift this year. x

Portuguese Garden Wedding

While Ben and I were traveling around Spain in 2009 we stumbled upon this absolutely amazing restaurant/venue hidden away in the back streets of Seville. The second we walked in we immediately decided that if money was no option we would have held our wedding there, the food, music and atmosphere was beyond amazing! The second I saw this stunning garden wedding held in Lisbon on De Alma e Coração‘s incredible blog it quickly brought back all the memories of that beautiful venue in Spain as this was one of our how we originally dreamed our wedding may have looked – we still served the most amazing paella though! The rustic table settings, vintage tins used for cutlery and of course beautiful but incredible simple flowers used at this stunning wedding really does invite you to sit down all night and celebrate with your closest friends and family!
