I have to admit, it’s very odd sharing a food post with out a recipe. But sometimes it’s a must, especially when it’s a delicious new limited edition pie from the creative folk at I Love Pies. I was lucky enough to receive their new limited edition pie this afternoon and my gosh, it’s so so good! As lovely as it is to make a pie from scratch, sometimes you just need something easy, delicious and of course made with New Zealand’s freshest and finest ingredients – which is perfect, as I Love Pies only choose the best ingredients! If you’re a already a fan of I Love Pies stunning rang of sweet and savoury pies, you simply must try their limited edition Angus Beef Steak and Pakiri Blue Cheese Pie, the steak and blue cheese filling paired with flakey sour cream pastry is to die for. Serve with either fresh salad or roast veggies for a perfect dinner on a chilly autumn evening!
With Autumn well and truly here, now is certainly the time to do a little Autumn/Winter shopping so that you stay warm and chic through the cooler months. I’ve always had a very soft spot for well cut jackets and cozy scarves (which is rather obvious from my Pinterest board) – pair this seasons jackets and scarves with jeans, a cozy knit sweater and a killer pair of heels and you’ve got the perfect ‘uniform’ for Winter this year. x
Even though the warmer months are on their way – we can still have some pretty chilly nights in New Zealand where all you want to do is curl up under a delicious chunky knit throw with a cup of tea and read a book! If you haven’t had a peek at the gorgeous new range of throws from Milo and Mitzy you simply must, they’re unbelievably cozy, come in a range of beautiful colours and of course will transform any nook or bedroom into the ultimate resting place – not only that they would make the most perfect wedding or Christmas present as it really would be something that you’d treasure for years to come! Oh and also if you’re a fan of Pinterest, and really who isn’t, make sure you take a peek at Milo and Mitzy’s Pinterest boards – her pins and boards are stunning!! x
I’ve always admired by anyone that is able to style their hair – it’s not something that I’m at all talented at but really is something that I’d love to know how to do. Especially braiding, for some reason I just can’t get the hang of it, at all!! You might remember my sleek fringe that Andy from Empire Hair Tailor cut for me at the start of the year? I absolutely adore fringes, they’re so much fun and can make you feel shiny and new in no time – for some reason though I only like having a fringe during the cooler months and will always grow it out over summer. So I’m now in the process of growing out my lovely fringe and taming it with the cutest of bobbi pins, headbands and of course my new secret weapon against tricky fly aways, the incredible new Clairol Professional Coil Up Cream – be sure to keep an eye out for it as it will not only keep fly aways at bay it will help ad a little curl to your gorgeous do’ – how perfect is that?! I’d love to hear what tips and tricks you have for styling a pretty do’ or if it’s something you’d like to see more of on the blog – of course by a talented hairstylist. xo
I fell head over heels in love with peonies before our wedding and simply had to have them along side ranunculus in my bouquets – they really are the most beautiful flower and I’m yet to meet someone who doesn’t adore them! I stumbled upon this really lovely interview on Kinfolk that shared some tips for growing your own peonies, which for anyone who loves to potter in the garden would find really helpful – plus their peony nursery is far too amazing for words! I’m itching with excitement for the weather and soil to warm up a little so I can get back into the garden and make a beautiful flower bed, and of course to see how the few peonies and ranunculus bulbs that I planted at the start of winter are going. I’d love to hear of any tips and tricks that you might have to growing these beautiful flowers, I can’t wait to have a whole garden bed full of them! x

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had a really lovely relaxing weekend. I can’t wait to show you all the photos from the tea party, everything really was far too perfect for words! I can however share a sneak peek of it and of course the delicious Vanilla Bean and Lemon Curd Layer Cake that I made – it’s such a lovely cake and the perfect chance to use the last of the delicious winter lemons before we head into spring. x
