Happy Friday everyone, I hope you’ve all had a wonderful week so far! I’ve had such a wonderful week of new things, introducing the gorgeous Gem from Blackbird to the blog where each Wednesday she will share her Creme of the Crop posts and of course announcing that my classes are going to be held at the wonderful Studio 46, the next few months are going to be so wonderful and I can’t wait! I’m so excited to share the prettiest new cake with you all – it’s been called the Tinkerbell Cake as it’s for a gorgeous little ladies 5th Birthday today, I think it’s the perfect name for such a pretty ruffle cake! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend planned, I’m going to be out celebrating my incredible friends Hen’s night tomorrow night – I can’t wait. x

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had the most wonderful weekend and of course spoilt your gorgeous Mama for Mothers Day! We had a really lazy but productive weekend after a week away, it was perfect – plus a little lazy Sunday afternoon is wonderful while it’s a little chilly outside. My gorgeous Mother-in-law gave me this delicious blondie recipe years ago, I’ve made it more times that I can remember – it’s just so good!! Her recipe calls for macadamia nuts but I didn’t have any so I added in pistachio nuts and crystallised ginger – either way this recipe is absolutely incredible and so quick to make I promise it will be your go to treat in no time! x

Aw, with Mother’s Day this weekend it’s the perfect time to organise something special for your incredible Mama! I’m a little in love with this incredibly elegant yet simple table setting styled by the lovely Caitlin Moran for Glitter Guide - the soft gold and green touches are perfection, as is the very sweet name tag with a sprig leaves from the flowers. This weekend really is the time to spoil our wonderful Mama’s for everything they’ve done for us, I’ll be sending all my love to mine as she’s lucky enough to be spending Mothers Day in New York – how wonderful is that! x

Oh my goodness, I’m so incredibly honoured to introduce you to one very talented lady, she’s part owner of the beautiful The Little Details and has just started her own styling business called Blackbird - the absolutely gorgeous Gem! A while ago Gem and I caught up through a gorgeous mutual friend of ours Coralee, over tea and chocolate covered raspberries and got chatting about styling, home decor and how to shop for your body shape – she completely floored Coralee and I with her knowledge of how an outfit works, what doesn’t and what will suit your beautiful body the best!
It took Gem and I no time at all to think of ways that we could work together, and it naturally turned to closet styling. I’ve always been a huge fan of a beautiful styled closet and ‘effortless day to day style’ – I wouldn’t say that my style is that bad, but like everyone I find it so easy to get into a ‘comfy style rut’. So I invited Gem over last week to have a peek at my closet and give me a little style make over, her eye for detail and getting the perfect line on your body is incredible! Plus there really is nothing like a fresh set of eyes, and style, to help give you a little boost. We’ve only just started, but we will be covering everything from Fashion Personality, Body Analysis, Textures & Patterns, Wardrobe Makeover, how to take two staple pieces turn it into 5 outfits and many other wonderful tips – Gem will be generously posting once a week on Made From Scratch, but of course if you’re after a personal style makeover be sure to get in touch with her, I promise you wont regret it! I can’t wait to share what we have planned, be sure to have a look at her blog Blackbird today about our exciting collaboration! x
Goodness me, is anyone else feeling like this year is just slipping by – how are we almost at the end of April, thats almost surreal! I’m so sorry for the lack of posts over the last few days, I’ve been playing catchup after finishing my last stunning wedding cake for the season last weekend. So since then I’ve been chatting to some very lovely people about future baking classes and of course planning a few lovely new things for Made From Scratch that I’m really excited to share with you once everything is settled – oh and how gorgeous is this afternoon setting by This is Glamours, how perfect would all your meetings be if they were like this?! I was also incredibly flattered to be featured on the wonderful Endemic World over the weekend – if you haven’t had a look at their art work, you must, you’ll want everything in a heart beat! I hope everyone has had a lovely start to the week – oh and don’t forget to enter the amazing LET LIV Kitchen Week giveaway, it’s being drawn tomorrow night! x
